apparently the mirror have said that falcao doesn't want to go to Chelsea

on my phone so can't really check it out

Yeah it says City in pole position to get him.http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-city-move-ahead-chelsea-1781098

I'm hoping that he does choose you guys as I don't want us to spend £50m on a 28 year old(plus they would want Courtois involved in any deal). Rather sign Schurrle and bring Lukaku back.

Plus a world class CDM is more of a pressing need for our squad and would rather spend the money there.

Sounds like City are going to spend quite a bit this summer.

we likely will be, but it should be smarter. just look at the guys who will most likely be off our books before the start of next season:

bridge, santa cruz, mario, kolo, lescott, barry, nasri, maicon, sinclair. that's a lot in wages. throw in a guy like tevez as well as a reserves cleanout and that's a fair bit to replace. we'll make one marquee signing, whether that's a falcao or a neymar, i don't know, but txiki would have something up his sleeve.

alot of the signings could be offset by the new television money. im not 100% sure on the calculations but i believe a second place would all but cover the signing of falcao.

I think you've got your wires crossed a bit here! Agents don't decide where players end up, they present options for their clients to choose from and once the player makes their choice the agent's job is to make that deal happen.

Agents facilitate the process though, they'll offer out the player to interested clubs and work with all parties to make sure they work out a deal which suits everyone. I've got no doubt that Suarez's agent has gone out and approached major clubs across Europe, he's just looking the best deal for his client, and if the clubs are interested, they'll make Liverpool an offer. Indirectly an agent has input with where a player will end up, because he acts the negotiater between the parties.

It'll be worth an extra £20m (last place) to £30m (1st place) per club per season compared to the previous deal. So under the previous deal the champions would receive around £60m, under the new deal they'll receive around £90m.

Top scorer in the Eredivisie, he'd be a very good pick up. A shame for us though as it probably puts the nail in the coffin with regards to them taking Carroll permanently.

Lots of rumors going around in the past few hours about this, $12M fee being rumored.

In terms of Carroll, there's a fairly decent chance Allardyce won't be at West Ham next season anyways, and considering his goals tally this season, don't think him staying on was ever going to eventuate. Newcastle is probably the best bet I would have thought.

What are the chances of João Moutinho leaving Sporting if the club are $200 million in debt? Was heavily linked to Everton and Tottenham last season.

Is 27 next season I think, wouldn't mind him at Arsenal.

He plays for Porto mate. Unless their is another Mountinho who I dont know about.

He doesn't suit Rodgers's style of football, there's absolutely no chance of him staying.
Not sure why, the amount of times I have seen Liverpool cross the ball in with no one there is lot. and right now they could probably only get around 5-8mil for him I'd expect

I don't want him here even if it means selling him for 5m-8m.

The guy is shit and it's hard to play a passing game with him around.

Also he's on around £80k p/w with 3 more years on his contract when he returns.

We have to take the best offer we get in the summer, no matter how bad the offer is.

My bad. Carry on.

Does Juventus have the money to be making a big play for Suarez? Only a few years ago they posted $100 million loss.

suarez reps have met with juve reps apparently.

Tancredi Palmeri story. Claimed Sneijder was in England finalizing a move to Liverpool hours before he was unveiled by Galatasaray in August. Has a big reputation so I started following him a while ago but he's very rarely accurate with his information, tends to make big calls to make headlines. Pinch of salt definitely advised.

i dont think he ever claimed that sneijder was finalising move, but that he had met with liverpool reps and discussed a move. he did say that coutinho was going to liverpool instead of southampton.

i know to take every story with a pinch of salt, but i don't think that it's far fetched that juventus would be making a play for suarez, at the very least discussing with his representatives as well as liverpool reps about a possible transfer.

Juve have tried repeatedly to sign Suarez and he keeps turning them down. Don't think he is interested in Serie A, when he does eventually move in a couple of years time it will be to real/barca.
