Losing Gotze to Bayern Munich of all teams would be a huge blow to Dortmund. That midfield is going to be incredible.

imo it's a bit gutless of gotze.

he's a dortmund lad, come through the academy, ridden the success of dortmund for the last couple of years, then jumped off when it looks like bayern are going to rule the world. he could've gone anywhere else, hell, he could've stayed at dortmund, and help them in the future, but this is a massive kick in the teeth to dortmund.

Where are Can and Holjberg? Bayerns lineup next season full strength

Neuer
Lahm-Martinez-Dante-Alaba
Schweinsteiger-Kroos
Robben-Goetze-Ribery
Suarez

My God that's a good lineup. Needs more Muller though ;).

Strange move IMO. He is still only 20 and has had great success with Dortmund, who by the way are a very good club that play a very attractive style. I guess he is one to be easily pursuaded, obviously Bayern are the giants of Germany and have a terrific squad and Pep Guardiola coming in. Money also would've played a big part.

IMO he wants the opportunity to work alongside Pep, which can be considered a once in a lifetime opportunity. But money and wages on the other hand could've been thrown around by other big clubs out there. Don't know why else he would move to a rival when he is already at a club that could achieve great things domestically and in Europe.

It's weak of Gotze, he would still have a significant salary at Dortmund, more than alot of other people would ever dream of.

Maybe he just wanted to play under Pep? I can understand why people wouldn't like his decision, but it's definitely not 'weak'.

Don't have a problem with him choosing Munich, no matter how much a bunch of campaigners they are.

Like it or not they're one of the three or four teams most players would walk to.

the timing is incredibly strange too. both bayern and dortmund on the verge of huge games. the reception gotze gets vs madrid could completely wreck dortmund.

Agree.
Very odd, particularly given a potential CL final match-up.

With regards the Bayern line-up above, it wouldn't surprise me to see at least one of Ribery/Robben move on.

Why do you dislike Bayern so much?

German rags.

With the same arrogance and disregard for anyone else.

And despite regularly spouting off about other clubs being bad for the game they have absolutely no interest in anything other than what's good for them.

And Dis-Hoeness-t is a hypocritical tax dodging gobby campaigner.

Yes. I thought they were interested in Suarez to replace Robben. They seem to have been playing with a big guy up front for ages - would be weird to change that now all of a sudden.
