Any other CM's that United are looking at? Surely that's an area that's going to need significant investment in the next season or 2 with Carrick turning 32 and Scholes about to qualify for a pension? Or is the general feeling that Jones, Cleverley and Powell will be sufficient in those deep lying midfield positions?

Need a proven clinical striker at top level. Not sure if I really want Jovetic. I'd take him over no one but I don't think he'll have a big impact.
Of course I'd rather someone like Lewandowski but coming to us would be a step down sadly the way we've been going.
Probably Benteke as he's proven at EPL level, still young and scores plenty. Probably cheaper than Jovetic.
Want a proper DM as well, so come on down Wanyama. Proven, young and cheap. No disrespect to Arteta but it's just not his position.
I know they are completely different positions but if it was Jovetic or Wanyama I'd definitely want the DM, as we still haven't gotten a Vieira replacement.
Song was pretty handy but turned more into a CM later on. We really need to spend the money and go for proven players. It's just the way it is and the way it has been for years now. Can't always rely on finding a bunch of hidden gems.

Can't replace what he does without the ball, a strong leader that did anything for Arsenal. But I guess the physical aspects is what I am looking for. A strong, no-nonsense midfielder who will actually come back and defend, unlike Song who went too far up the pitch in the last year or two at Arsenal.
