Yep, he's scored some huge goals for us. Plus the corner he won for Drogba to score from. He has been pretty handy even if he cost a fortune.
Just no.

You can sugarcoat it all you like but Torres is the 4th highest transfer fee paid in history and has a palty 15 goals from 82 league games. That is beyond terrible, it's Emile Heskey type numbers. Overall he has 35 total goals in 131 matches for Chelsea. That is absolutely shocking for that price.

For 50 million you should be getting a striker who at least scores 1 in 2. Just not about the numbers, though he should be a player who causes all sorts of problems, assists, holds up the ball, movement. Torres just looks disinterested most of the time.

Horrible, just horrible.

I know he's been horrible, I've watched every game he's played for us;).

Just trying to find a positive.

We'll be in there if he becomes available I'm sure.
Just can't see City being good for him. Look at players like Garcia and Sinclair, the reserves barely get a chance. May well change under Pellegrini, but it's the way it works at clubs like Real, City and Chelsea who have more money than practical sense.

Most kids in that situation would go to United, unless the wages are vastly different.

Chelsea's kids seem to be doing alright. eg Lukaku, KDB, Courtois, Piazon, Chalobah, Omeruo etc. We are becoming quite good at developing kids at the right level.

Suarez, RVP, Falcao simply don't have the raw physicality, pace and endurance that Bale has.

Impossible to separate Ribery, Suarez, RVP and Bale this season. Pirlo & Gotze have also been fantastic. All have been brilliant and all utilize different methods to dominate games. Bale scores some spectacular goals and is very athletically gifted, but that doesn't necessarily make him a more effective player. I'd argue it doesn't matter whether a player scores with a rocket from 30 yards, if he dribbles past 2 players and pokes it into the bottom corner from close range or if he slides through an inch perfect through ball for a team-mate to tap in, the resulting benefit is still the same. Amongst similar type players from that list, if anything Ribery & Suarez have had greater impact statistically in terms of goals, assists, chances created, players bitten etc.

you were going alright until your last sentence.
torres tries very hard and doesn't look disinterested. that's just absolute ****ing rubbish and shows how little you watch him. stick to giving opinions about liverpool because evidently it's the only team you watch.

Sinclair and Garcia got the chances their performances deserved. Just like Bentley and Dos Santos got the chances they deserved at Spurs.

It has nothing to do with money and everything to do with performance.

Nastasic was brought in and got opportunities as a 19 year old. Rodwell played whenever he was fit. But their performances merited those opportunities.

Ive kept an eye on Chelsea and as a Liverpool supporter, I have seen Torres play a lot. He doesnt look the same player, doesnt seem to have the same drive and intensity. But that is probably down to confidence. He was banging them in for Liverpool and his confidence was sky high so he would chase that much harder, close down that bit quicker, chase those lost balls, he was loving his football.

That's not the case at Chelsea. His confidence is shot, his body language shows that and his effort and performance are a domino effect from that.

It's clear as day bro.
