Because they probably want a front 3 of Ronaldo---Suarez---Bale, which is far better than what they currently have. It's not about how good Benzema and Di Maria are, it's about Real getting what they want.

Llambias (NUFC chairman) reportedly seen at PSG's last game reportedly watching Gamerio and Sahko. Would love that!

Also getting linked to Wilfried Bony, think he scored the third most goals in europe this season (albeit in the Dutch league).

Why would Pogba even want to leave Juve? Jeez the media throw some shit up.

Apparently

Chelsea have submitted a €47m bid for Cavani but Napoli want Torres to be included in any deal. Roman Abramovich does not want to sell.

Oh Roman,

You so crazy :hearts:

Why would Real Madrid want to get rid of two players for Suarez if they were so good. Just saying.

I don't think there's anything in the rumour to be honest, I don't think any of the parties would agree to those terms and obviously the preferred option from Liverpools perspective would be to keep Suarez at the club and build the side around him. But for arguments sake, if hypothetically we had no choice and Suarez was to leave it wouldn't be a terrible result in my opinion. Di Maria would slot in nicely as a RW/#10 (a position we will be looking to fill this summer anyway) and Benzema/Sturridge could rotate through CF with Coutinho on the left.

Having said that, Suarez is one of the best 5-10 players in the world at the moment and we should be doing everything we can to hold onto him. While you could bring in another striker who could match his scoring rate, there aren't many who can match his creativity and leadership at the same time. As a 'False 9' he essentially plays 2 positions at once and I can count on one hand the number of players in world football who can play that role on the same level as Suarez. If we lose him we would need to bring in a new striker and a new #10 to replace what he brings to the side in terms of goals, creativity and work rate.

Worst case scenario, and we were to sell Suarez to Madrid or Munich (the 2 most likely destinations in the event that he does leave), my preference would be for Di Maria or Shaqiri + cash for him. Fortunately for us though, he's given every indication that his intention is to stay at Liverpool. No doubt there will be offers but I'd put money on him still being in Liverpool colours by the end of the transfer window.

Coutinho--------Benz----------Di Maria > Coutinho-------Suarez--------Sturridge.
I haven't seen much of the Real players so I won't comment on them, I think everyone agrees that Saurez is a good player but Sturridge has been brilliant for Liverpool. As someone that didn't really want him in the first place he has been a revelation. Has the tools to be a gun.

Oh for ****s sake. I don't even know where to start.
And you're not funny or smart with your 'just saying' thing. You've just said something ridiculous and narrow minded, there's nothing witty or intelligent about it.

Difference between playing great for half a season when the pressure is off and being a great player.

I'd wait and see on Sturridge and Coutinho.

Not overly keen on Benzema, Di Maria is top quality though, it wouldnt surprise if we had a nibble there.

Interesting...the sources reporting our interest aren't the most reliable so could be a lot of nothing at the end of the day. West Ham I believe are in pole position for Carroll who would set them back 15m, not sure they would be forking out 27m for 2 strikers (though they need to bring a few in).

Clement Grenier linked with Arsenal. Arsene was speaking about him on french TV the other day likened him to Na$ri/Cesc, though going on past evidence this means he wont be joining. He does however have one year remaining on his contract and said after his game this morning that if they fail to qualify for champions league then he will explore his options.

On the player himself, he is one of the few Ligue 1 players I would take though he would take time to settle in the premier league. Has an amazing free kick on him. Scored these two in the past two games:

god you're biased...... thankfully you're the only unbearably deluded liverpool fan on here.
anyone can see it would be a very good deal for liverpool. both benzema are capable of a very high level, arguably comparable to suarez.
I dont think it's a shit deal. Would be great if Suarez wanted to leave but he doesnt want to leave and we dont want him to leave so given that bit of information I would much rather keep him. Benzema is not comparable to Suarez. The two seasons they have just had are apples and oranges.
