Around £30m-£35m is where I would guess the Suarez fee would be.

We'll see if they're singing the same tune when he refuses to play.According to lfc if u dont offer 50m u got no chance getting him
How long does Rooney have left? He could be finished by 30 with his body type.

Suarez's 2012/13 season in addition to his incredible scoring record with Ajax has (like Bale) propelled him into being one of the top 10 players in world football based on form at the moment. We're in the fortunate position that he willingly signed an extension until 2018 earlier this season, so regardless of whether he wants to leave or not we're under no pressure to sell him (like Tottenham with Modric a few years ago).
Been very quiet on Rooney.
Top clubs don't seem that interested.
His wage is too high.
Hahah, so much this.If £30-35m is what is offered then I'll be thrilled because he'll still be at Anfield next season.
PSG tell Rooney to 'name his price'
Paris Saint-Germain have told Wayne Rooney to name his price as they prepare a £30 million bid for the Manchester United striker.
The Ligue 1 champions have made an initial offer of £300,000 a week after tax on a four-year deal, according to the Daily Express, as they plan to make their assault on the Champions League with Rooney spearheading the attack with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
PSG's wealthy Qatari owners made Rooney their No. 1 transfer target after the 27-year-old asked to leave Old Trafford towards the end of last season - and have said if the initial offer is not enough then the player himself can dictate the terms of a contract.

Reports like that have to originate somewhere.
50mil for someone on the back of one standout season in the EPL? If there's a club stupid enough, then good on Liverpool
WC2022OZ raised a good point there.
Suarez can't afford to sit out a season, or sulk it up and be in the periphery. With a World Cup just around the corner, he needs to prove that he should be starting ahead of Cavani/Forlan/Lodeiro.
Thiago being heavily linked with Madrid. Can't see it happening but is there anyone Madrid don't want?
au contraireChicharito. Not even him and $20 million could make them consider it.
Chicharito has integrity!!That's an article from a month ago mate, Real won't give you 25 mill for a fairly average bench player. Why would they pay that much for Hernandez when Suarez is available for 10-15 mill more?

Would cost 25mil. Bit of a risk but he's a quality playerApparent Liverpool have enquired about Benteke.
Suarez is the sort of player who just loves football. If asked to stay on I would have no doubt his undoubted passion for football would eclipse his disappointment that he didn't get his Madrid move. We all know how these transfers work, the selling club doesn't want to sell and won't even consider a bid at market value (40 million pound in Suarez's case). Bids keep going up until an offer comes in too good to refuse. This happened with Torres who Chelsea only bid 25 million initially for (about right at the time of his transfer) and ended up with Chelsea doubling their offer. The same thing then happened to us when we bid 20 million for Carroll and Comoli ended up making a ridiculous offer too good for Newcastle to resist. Also not playing simply isn't an option for Suarez with the World Cup coming up and he isn't the type to do that anyway. One of two things will happen - Suarez will go for 50 million plus or stays for one more season and leaves with the blessing of the club if we do not make top 4. We are in a fantastic position negotiation wise.
Suarez had one a half under performing seasons in England. And Bale? He's been valued at anything from £60-85m and before this year he'd never scored more than 10 goals in a season.
At international level there haven't been many better strikers over the last 3 years than Suarez, this season wasnt just a flash in the pan for him. In his final season at Ajax he scored 49 goals in 48 games. Regardless of the quality of the Eredivisie that's an impressive achievement. The fact is, if Madrid see he and Bale as the difference that would see them winning La Liga or the Champions League they'll come up with the money for both of them. We've seen the exorbitant sums they've been willing to part with in the past to continue their Galactico philosophy, I think we're going to see how deep their pockets are again this summer.
As for his baggage, it comes from his relentless, frenzied and at times maniacal desire to win so it's difficult to say it reduces his value because it's probably the biggest factor in why he is such a good footballer. Unfortunately at times the red mist descends and that white line fever leads him to do stupid things. It needs to be tempered for sure but you could never get rid of that side of his game because he wouldn't be half as good a player. Madrid will be aware of this and if it bothered them that much then they wouldn't want to sign him because it isn't something that's going to change!
