Well of course I'm pro United, what an odd observation.

You though obviously missed the post where I said I didn't want either player at United, so in reality it's not a United thing at all.

In GENERAL I think Strootman is the better player.

i have rated fernandinho long before he was a transfer target of ours. strootman i have also repeatedly said i don't think is very good. it has nothing to do with teams.

City already have a strong CM, United don't so if it is "footballing reasons" for Thiago leaving he would choose United over City.
Not sure why Madrid are favorite to sign him. He wouldn't be necessarily higher up in the pecking order than at Barca and he would probably get lost in their whole system like a few of their ex players

i don't think he's as good as he's bigged up to be. when it comes down to it, there's very little that differentiates him from similar midfielders. he might well end up being very good player, but seeing some fans drooling at the prospect of strootman is just strange, he's a good passer and relatively strong on the ball, but he's hardly an exceptional talent. it's not that he's a bad or poor player, he's just being hyped up something terrible compared to what he's actually done.
