Some Mkhitaryan developments today:

Shakhtar Donetsk manager Mircea Lucescu: "Now I have to think about Mkhitaryan, because it's possible he will leave too. There is a club that is paying his buy-out clause and there is nothing we can do, we need to find someone else"

The BBC are reporting that the buy-out clause is £20m, I'd be very surprised if that club wasn't us. Could be some movement this week.

Haha it's still June, I doubt anything's happening transfer-wise, I presume all rumours at these times to be papers trying to sell papers and agents trying to get better contracts for their players. Furthermore, Man Utd won't sell Rooney to us, I reckon he'll leave (the whole court case with Moyes débâcle) but probably abroad.

25 goals and 10 assists in 28 games from midfield in a league that's probably on par with the Eredivisie in terms of quality, pretty impressive! We've been scouting him for months, well before Suarez decided he wanted out so I have a feeling we want to bring him in with a view to playing him with Suarez, not instead of him. Do you remember Rodgers said back in January that he'd be looking to sign a "top class #10 in the summer"? He's known for a while that we needed a player like Mkhitaryan or Eriksen (regardless of Suarez's future).

I'd imagine though that since the news broke that Suarez would be seeking a move our recruiting team would have been in overdrive creating a list of targets to replace him with if he does leave.

Don't think Henrikh has anything to do with Suarez staying or going.. think money for him will come from Carroll plus a bit extra from elsewhere.

Not a transfer as such but apparently Leicester are about to sign Sir Dave Richards as chairman as the Thai's look to get fresh faces in with football knowledge.

All I know about the guy is that he was in charge of Sheffield Wednesday and was the sole reason they went into debt, ended up helping them to relegation from the premier league down to league one in a couple of seasons.

After that he became the Premier League chairman for 14 'eventful' years.

According to our fans, this is the worst possible appointment and they expect it to cripple the club for many years to come.

Does anyone know more about this guy and if I should be as worried as all our fans are?

Not really, he's a gun. One of Liverpool's better buys if it goes through imo. He'll do well in the prem, good pace, awesome first touch and skill on the ball and has a good passing game. If they manage to keep Suarez, they will be a really good combo.

Arsenal paying the same for Higuain seems like a bargain imo.

When you consider Wilfred Zaha might cost Utd over 15m, 23m for an established striker in the real top bracket is pretty good work from the gunners.

It's good to see, both sides probably bridging the gap slightly.
