Higuain has 110 goals in 210 games, he's 25, and for 25m that is a bargain.
.

Absolutely, he's world class when in form.

I've no idea why Liverpool aren't trying for Higuain + cash for Suarez.

Morata looks like a top prospect, and probably a good angle for Liverpool to go with, especially with their tendancy to overpay for homegrown players, going the youth angle is all well and good, but when you have an established international quality striker like Higuain ifor the taking, when you've got a player Madrid really want, there's definately some bargaining power there.

If they managed to get Higuain and Mkhitaryan for Suarez I think they'd be well ahead as a team........

Morata and Mkhitaryan and some cash looks pretty good too, but they are really inexperienced up front with Aspas, Morata and Sturridge.

Higuain and Sturridge would work well imo as a tall/short combo, especially with Mkhitaryan sitting behind them.

Don't see why we shouldn't have a go for Nani either for only 8.5m.
I hope you guys buy some quality players but wenger says he will buy quality every window then buys an unknown 17 year old

I thought United wouldn't accept anything less than what they paid for Nani.

If Suarez leaves we'll look to replace him with a slightly more experienced option than Morata (as talented as he is). I wouldn't mind Higuain + cash but it sounds like he's already got offers on the table from Arsenal and Juventus (who in my opinion are a quality attacker or 2 away from being a real force in the Champions League next season, they'd be aiming for the semi-finals at least if they could secure a player like him).

The thing with Suarez is that he is as much a creator as a goalscorer which when coupled with his immense work rate means it's quite difficult to replace what he brings with a single player. Mkhitaryan is a good start and would add an attacking threat to our midfield which we needed regardless of whether Suarez left or not. If we were to sell him I'd also want us to be looking at players like Soldado, Jovetic or Muriel who are versatile, creative, comfortable in possession and obviously capable goalscorers.

Whatever happens it's likely to drag out over the whole summer. If it plays out anything like the Torres transfer we'll be waiting for a) Madrid to come up with a satisfactory offer and b) a replacement to be secured before we allow Suarez to leave, neither of which are going to happen any time soon.

He only has a year left and barely played this season.

Not really, he's a gun. One of Liverpool's better buys if it goes through imo. He'll do well in the prem, good pace, awesome first touch and skill on the ball and has a good passing game. If they manage to keep Suarez, they will be a really good combo.

If you've been as shit in the market as we have for 5 years, any big money transfer is a risky gamble

The idea that someone as impressive as Mkhitaryan can still fail at Anfield, this is Liverpool

I know just repeating some of the stuff said on here this season. Is the Ronaldo for Hernandez deal going to happen?

When do all the transfers start happening? From late July?

Napoli and Chelsea to meet again to Wednesday(De Laurentiis will be in attendance) to try and work out a deal for Cavani, talk it's going to be €58m + bonuses.

Man City 'apparently' tried to offer €40m + Dzeko, but Edin doesn't want to go there

If Chelsea are willing to pay 58 million for Cavani they may as well go to 63 million. 5 million to Roman is like 5 cents anyway, don't see the issue. Just seems a bit ridiculous to haggle, over less then 10% of the transfer fee.

If you watch Mourinho's first interview as returning Chelsea boss he mentions that things will be 'different' at the club and that they are aiming to be more financially responsible. Perhaps it's just Roman trying to appear as though he's following that mantra? As you said though, at £50-60m haggling over a few extra million seems a bit trivial.

Exactly. 2 weeks ago we were at ~48. A week ago 53. Now 58. Just pay the flippin release clause and get him to the club.

I respect what Zidane did as a player but does that make him exempt from all FIFA and UEFA rules once he retires? If what he is doing with Bale isnt tapping up I will have to question if the Pope is catholic and Bin-Laden was a muslim. Levy and co should come out and at least make some sort of mention of this blatant tapping up. To come out and say the player should have a private discussion and ask for a transfer is a joke. I'd rather sell Bale for £10m less to PSG in spite of the karnt

According to FIFA and UEFA, yes he does

Unfortunately Real Madrid will keep blatantly doing these kinda underhanded shit in every one of their big transfers and there's nothing much people can do
