Unfortunately "tapping up" is defined as unauthorized direct contact between a club and a player without contacting their club and/or agent. Zidane isn't technically breaking any rules by suggesting Bale should put in a transfer request unless he personally rang him on behalf of Real and said as much. It's just a dirty trick employed by Real that they can get away with.

Except instead of "started a small business, worked hard and eventually turned it into a chain, and then an empire" the Oligarchs used people and information to create and then abuse their position in a country where the rule of law faded to obscurity during the massive transition from Socialism to a free market economy. I love this. Pretty much told him to shut up and if he wants out, tell the club by handing in a transfer request. LFC want to make sure the supporters understand that Suarez is the villain and that we dont want to sell him but are being forced to. LFC want to keep the fans on side, which is smart.

Suarez also doesnt want to hand in a transfer request because he loses his loyalty bonus which im sure is quite significant and LFC fans will hate him and he doesnt want either.

What does passing a medical involve? If he's currently injured, how does he pass it?

If they're satisfied it's not going to lead to long term problems then it wont be an issue.

They basically run a series of tests to determine general fitness, flexibility and severity of previous injuries. They can see for example if an old injury hasn't healed or been rehabilitated properly. If there's a significant build up of scar tissue then you'll typically see reduced flexibility in that joint which leaves the player at greater risk of recurring injuries in that area. If their rehabilitation and physiotherapy was done properly then that scar tissue should be minimal and there's no concern.
