You know Liverpool fans suffer from lack of logic.

Here's my thinking behind this. Why, if a player wants to move and is subsequently denied that move would they sulk around? Assuming that their situation at the club doesn't drastically change and they're still going to want a move when the next opportunity arises, wouldn't they be better inclined to work even harder and try to improve their performance to increase their options?

Suarez wouldn't be the type to not play to his best even if he stayed at Liverpool.

Can anyone name me players that were denied a move from their clubs and their performance levels significantly dropped?

You could end up with a Peter Odemwingie situation.

Thing is, How would Suarez increase his options by putting in another season at Liverpool? His stock is at its highest point right now.

He has 3 years? left on his contract. If he has an average season all it does is weaken Liverpool's ability to demand top dollar.

You guys needed cavanni

Would be good to see ibra at city

Wont win anything with dzenko as main striker
Would be so good to see Ibra in the EPL in general. It sucks that's I have seen so little of him because he is never on TV/when he was at Juve finding a good stream was impossible.

I loved being able to watch some of him at Inter and AC.

juve aren't underrated, all i've heard is people obsessing about how fantastic conte is and how they're going to be a force in europe next season. no one is underrating them at all.

on negredo, he's a good scorer, but i can't help but feel sevilla would ask the world for him. if the fee was around 12-15 mil, go for it. but they'll be after 20-25 mil, which is understandable for their prized asset, but 20 mil for a 3rd in line striker who brings pretty similar attributes to dzeko seems a bit of a waste.

tell you what though, chelsea get cavani, i wouldn't mind us putting in a cheeky (pardon the pun) bid for lukaku. 99% chance it wouldn't go anywhere at all, but you gotta buy a ticket to win the raffle.

Tevez a bit more advanced than I thought. As good as confirmed, just seen a pic of him on a balcony holding the shirt.

Sad to see him go, but the timing is right and what a cracking signing he turned out to be.

Be more like 100%.

He has 3 years? left on his contract. If he has an average season all it does is weaken Liverpool's ability to demand top dollar.

After re-signing earlier this season he's contracted until June 2018 so that's 5 seasons after this summer. That's why Liverpool are in such a strong position. If he only had 2 years left on his contract it would be an entirely different scenario and without doubt the player would be in control, but the fact is he signed a contract extension this year (if he wasn't happy then he shouldn't have signed, simple as that). As a result if the club decides they want to keep him to help us qualify for the CL, they can do so safe in the knowledge that his value won't drop significantly over the next 12-24 months as a result of his contract ticking down (5 years v 4 years, diff in contract value is negligible, 3 years v 2 years, likely to see a much more significant drop in value), so Liverpool are under no pressure to sell in that regard. In addition as others have mentioned, he has too much at stake to allow his performances to drop. If he still wants a move to a club like Madrid, Bayern or Barça he'll need to be playing at a level that will attract them, he's also got a World Cup to get in form for. I've got no worries whatsoever about him performing if we decide to keep him next season. He's one of the most competitive players I've ever seen and its instinctive for him to want to win every contest he's involved in. Regardless of what people think about him, he's never given any less than 100% for any side he's ever played for, winning means too much to him.

If we keep him, great, he'll be very useful for us next season and will no doubt play a significant role in helping us achieve our goal of returning to the CL. If we sell him, not a problem either, he'll be replaced. However, because of the number of years remaining on his contract there's absolutely no way we'll accept a penny less than our valuation of him and to be honest it's sounding more and more like Madrid have other priorities.

Plus any club that signs Suarez now won't be able to play him for 6 games as the ban will be transferred. Madrid, are better off chasing Bale who is a couple of years younger and Spurs will be able to demand players like Di Maria as part of the deal.

Spurs can demand whoever they want. Players like Di Maria won't play for clubs without Champions league football unless they get paid stupid amounts, Spurs can offer neither.
