This is what I'm hoping will happen. De Bruyne can also play CM so I'm starting to think that could be where Jose is thinking of playing him in the season.

blue boy jatz, did you hear anything about Leicester looking at signing Perch from us? Saw a rumour on facebook over the weekend of a possible $700k move being on the cards (personally hope it's not true as he's a solid squad player and I think we paid 1m for him originally).
I suppose if Knockaert was put in as part of the deal, I could live with that

I did indeed see that. I saw 750k though. From what I've read he isnt that great, would he be good championship quality? We are apparently in for Karl Henry from Wolves for around the same figure as well. I saw this morning that now Wigan are in the race. Personally would be a bit disappointed to see him go. Very versatile and handy squad player for us. He's English (which helps with the home grown rule) and would be on reasonably low wages. He isn't flashy but he brings grit and determination. His best position is DM but he can play as a CB (bit undersized though) or at either FB (though he got carved up a few times in PL by pacy wingers). IMO, would be better than Karl Henry (and with less suspensions lol).

Some rumours overnight that we will bid 18m euros for Aubameyang and throw in Obertan as part of the deal (at St Etienne's request). Could live with that!

Wigan look favourites to sign him now. Would have preferred him over Henry. Henry does fill a hole in our squad and with FFP coming in he's probably as good as we could get.
We have so many players on high wages from the Sven era that we could be in deep shit. Beckford going to Bolton will certainly help!

I think we got linked to Spearing from Liverpool a few months back. If anything, he would have played Perch's role for us. Think he was at Bolton last season on loan and did very well as a DM. Maybe he could be another option?

I think I'd prefer Perch out of all the options so far. May not be premier league level but if he is a solid consistent performer that would be a nice change from our current squad

Think Perch would be a bit stiff to be shown the door - some fans has his as our player of the season earlier on. Played quite a bit when Cabaye, Tiote, Colocinni, Santon, Simpson, Taylor etc got injured. Think he would be a great option for a lower PL/higher championship team.
Hopefully you guys get him - would prefer he go to you instead of Wigan haha

He must only be pretty deep squad depth if the 750k being reported is accurate? I'd like to think Leicester were a 'higher championship team' haha.
Yeah I'd be thrilled, would save me getting annoyed with Karl Henry being suspended every other week
