I received a happy birthday message from my son this morning. All the way from New York. He tells me that it's 1 degree and sunny. It must be cold because he bought a LA Kings beanie for the cold weather.

Less than 4 weeks until we head off to Hawaii.
Heading to Europe for a 3 month driving holiday in August. Just starting the countdown now but just a bit wistful that we'll miss the Blues September action.

One week from today and we're off to Hawaii.
You got any plans to see the flowing lava at Hawaiian Volanoes National Park? I've been to a few active volcanoes, including stupidly climbing to the top of Anak Krakatau, but never got see lava flow. It's meant to be quite the humbling experience. Would love to hear about it if you do.

Sad to be home after 12 brilliant nights in Hawaii. Very tired after a long flight, but hoping for a Blues win tonight.
