Depends really if waterman does well playing league and has a good under 18's tourney I think it's almost certainty that clubs from pick 5ish to 10 will bid on him. The fact that this is a strong KPP draft might save us from bids

Perhaps. I think comparisons to Sheed are pretty fair at this stage. Smart footballer who can find the ball and use it well but not the most eye catching athlete. Though he looks more powerful this season.

The thing is Sheed went on to dominate for WA and win the Larke Medal and still fell to pick 10 and might have fallen further had we not been there to take him.

I was just tempering the hype TBH. He's not proven to be the next Swallow, O'Meara or Coniglio just yet.

Didn't mean to derail this thread.

Is Waterman's kick Elite?

Depends on what you call elite. Not anywhere near someone like Hurn but not far from someone like Hodge which RE has compared his kicking too.

Up to about 35 - 40m he's damn accurate and pretty creative, and he hits the right targets quickly over short distances. But at the moment his radar loosens up beyond that, until his max distance which looks to be 55m or so.

I know it's very much a first-world problem, but it's staggering they make some patrons sit on bench seats with a single, narrow plank as a back rest. Surely, the chiropractic association of WA are behind this.
Is there seriously big long old school wooden seats at subi? I've been there a couple of times but didnt see them?
