Port should have beaten Hawthorn in that 2014 preliminary final, they had 7 more scoring shots, essentially blowing their chance. History may repeat itself, this year, their accuracy is off.
Yeah they really should have, Hawthorn were just more clutch when it mattered. Yeah wouldn't put it past history repeating itself again but they'd have to colossally choke to not at least make a grand final.

They've got heaps of improvement on last night's effort, depends how long Danger is out for now. 11 games left, 6 wins on the board, put a line through top 4 but can probably afford to drop a few more and still make the 8, as long as they're healthy in the run up to the finals, if they do that, they'll be in it up to their necks. If the injuries keep happening to key players then there's no chance.
Yeah I am not seeing it with Geelong, I don't think with their age profile that they can do much in finals outside of the top 4. They may make a semi final but run out of gas if they get any further

10 games left and they're 6-7. Probably need to go 7-3 from here to make the 8. Six of those games are at GMHBA - 5 against possible finalists Melbourne, Essendon, Fremantle, Port and the Dogs. Away games against Sydney, Brisbane, Collingwood and St.Kilda. North at home looks like the only lock.

Our accuracy has been poor for a long long time now. It has cost us before and will cost us again.

Hope it’s a Port v Pies GF and Port get to wear the prison bars. It’ll look like an inter club game lol

And Port ran them to 3 points in the Prelim only losing with a combination of poor goal kicking and Stevic being Hawthorn's 23rd man.

lol ... I love this *ing sooking still.

Monfries and Wingard diving around all night getting bs phantom frees in front of goal to swing momentum Ports way and Port getting more free kicks than Hawthorns (21 to 17) but yes because it was that unreal Hawthorn team it must of been the umpires.

Such a *ing one eyed, biased, perspective still crying years later.

The only supporters that have the right to cry for years about anything are Sydney supporters after the 2016 Grand Final.

Richmond could make it based on form
No chance. Unfortunately for them they have 3 very tough games plus 2 games at Docklands against StK and WB. Their record there in recent years is insipid. Would need to win 2 of these 5 to have any chance.

i still cant believe port are in the position they are in. they are a lock for top 2 and prob the GF. After Round 3 and qrt time vs Sydney this was noy on the cards.
