Can i pop in a quicky to see how many Collingwood fans know this one?

To what Collingwood player does the following commentary catchcry refer to.

'Youve got to take the boy off now, You just have to take him off'

How many Collingwood players have won the Simpson medal?
SIMPSON MEDAL
Awarded to the best player in a WAFL Grand Final and occasionally to an outstanding performer in an exhibition match

1946 - Lou Richards (Collingwood)

Ray Gabelich (1961) 1961 - Keith Slater (Swan Districts)
Stan Magro (1975) 1975 - Mel Whinnen (West Perth)
Brad Hardie (1986) 1986 - Mark Zanotti (Subiaco)

These are according to the 'Bible' of Football. So if you can supply me where you got your info, that will be helpful.

I didn't, I guessed my answer.

Just telling you that your publication doesn't match the AFL site.

"AFL 2005, the official statistical history of the AFL" says the following ...

"Simpson Medal = Awarded to the best player in the WAFL Grand Final, and occasionally to an outstanding performer in an exhibition match"

Some interesting winners are .....

1946 = Lou Richards (exhibition match between East Fremantle & Collingwood.
1981 = Gary Shaw, Claremont.
1985 Brian Taylor, Subiaco. (Obviously, not "the barge" as he was on the Collingwood senior list that year.

It would seem that the answer is "One" as Lou Lou would be the only one to win the medal while actually playing for the magpies.

Correct answer is 2.

Sorry guys, I seem to be dropping the ball on this one. I'm pretty flat out at the moment, which is why I haven't asked a question for a while (and more importantly, do some thorough research on the questions!).

Someone can feel free to take over.
