The fact that the umpires are biased towards melbourne teams is obviosely a fact. You only had to catch the game Lions vs. Kanagroos to see this undeniable fact. As a Lions fan, and in which I am sure many people will agree with me; we are blantedly discriminated against week in week out. This is why it was such a wonderful effort for the Crows to win the Grandfinal. They had to overcome the other team; and the umpires in win the game.
Back to the Lions; it may seem by looking at the stats sheets after some of our games that the umpiring was equal; but if you divulge futher into the figures; I believe you would find that the opposition team receive their free kicks in their attacking zone (usually 30 out, right in front) while our free kicks come from positions where it would be impossible for us to kick a goal.
When will this balant cheating stop?

Try making that comment at the St Kilda Social Club. I like it how you seem to block all Victorians in the one group and act as if we are all treated the same.

I saw some of the worst pieces of umpiring that I have ever seen today. And guess what? Between two VICTORIAN teams.

If an umpire rightly/wrongly awards a free kick, as with what happened on Friday night, the umpires make their judgement on what they thought and was nothing to do with any Victorian bias.

I live in Melbourne.
I tend to agree with whats being said. I have seen some shocking umpiring decisions over the years. The majority in the last 5 years have been against the interstate teams.
specially Brisbane and Sydney.No idea why.
I go to the footy with friends weekly.
