Well I've sort of calmed down after Saturday's debacle...well not really.

There is one thing that I would like to raise, and I think both Geelong and Hawthorn supporters would be with me on this one. The bouncing of the ball by the umpires has to end - now.

Saturday's game at Crocklands saw more skewed bounces by the men in white than any other I can recall. It was bordering of farce at times, as the ball was almost passed to King or Thompson/O'Farrell on a couple of occassions. It also dragged the game down even further (if that was possible) because the ball would be bounced, go sideways to a ruckmen who would grab it, be tackled, and the umpire would call for another off-centre bounce.

I just can't understand why it was so bad on Saturday. I mean, if Craponial's surface is as hard as everyone is saying, surely the ball would be easier to bounce?

I know people will say it's the luck of the bounce, part of the game etc etc, but Saturday showed the umpires no longer have the co-ordination to give any decisions correctly, let alone bounce the ball. I reckon they should just bounce the ball to start each
quarter and from then on throw it up.

Your thoughts, particularly those people who were at the game on Saturday?

SPOKEN LIKE THE TRUE LOSER YOU ARE...LOL YOUS HAVNT WON A GAME IN 3 WEEKS YOU PRETENDERS.....

I'm not saying the bouncing affected the result...it just ruined what was already a very average match...the bounces skewed both ways, it gave neither side an advantage.

And last time I checked, Hawthorn were still above Collingwood and defeated them in Round 1! What does that make you guys?

L-O-S-E-R-S !! That's what! ;)

So, one umpire out of three had a bad day bouncing. BIG DEAL!!! I'm sure there's more important things to worry about. I've seen more bad, shocking days put in by players than by umpires. Leave them alone for once.
