Peter Cameron who was an umpire from the late 70’s to early 90’s was a Richmond supporter. I don’t recall him doing us any bloody favours though. His sister married David Cloke.

It is decisions like these, and the automatic "it was the right call" response from the AFL, that has stopped me going to and watching footba.

It is now an organisation, not a game.

It is about time they put umpires back in charge of the umpires.

It all started going downhill from the time they put Gieshen in charge after that it became a job for ex AFL coaches or assistant coaches.

Peter Carey would be a good choice. ( the ump who marked the football during a match)

Agree 100% I used to give Carey so much s**t after he umpired a Richmond game. 10am in the tea room was an interesting time.
A mate of mine who I worked with was so one eyed he used to torch Carey at the games from the boundary and then in the tea room.
Peter is a really good guy and we had a few laughs in the process.
