After years of chatting about it, my mate Jordan and I finally did a thing!

The Unmatched Committee Podcast is for anyone who has a love of sport (especially footy), obscure trivia, deep dives into sporting folklore and great banter.

In the first episode, we (appropriately) look at some of the greatest players to have snared a goal with their first senior kick. Give it a listen, like our FB/Spotify pages and join us on this whimsical waltz through Australian sport.

Episode 2: Three Clubs
In Episode 2, we look back at some players who have pulled on the jumpers of 3 or more clubs. We introduce a couple of segments, Clangers and Soapbox, and I discover just how real the quiz pressure is.

EPISODE 2 - THREE CLUBS

Episode 3: Two Truths
New episode is up, and it's my favourite game yet...

Episode 3: Two Truths

This week, we ban some words, start our footy card teams and try to trick each other with some creative fake player names. The only thing weirder? Some of the real names!

Episode 4: Sticky Wicket
Our first cricket-focused episode. A bit of a long one, but a good one.

This fortnight we take a look at some of the luckiest and unluckiest cricketers in history. If you like laughing at the misfortune of English cricketers especially, it's worth a listen.

Tune in wherever you listen to your podcasts.

Episode 5: Brother, Who Art Thou?
We're back onto footy! This week, Jordan and I have a laugh at some fans who let down their teams, name our card teams before making our first trade, and finally try to overcome our middle-child trauma by discussing some forgotten siblings of famous AFL players.

Catch us wherever you listen to your podcasts!

Episode 6: Newlyweds
And we're back! This fortnight, we address HatGate, react to some Simpson-replacement suggestions, and finally try to reacquaint with one another through a sport-themed Newlyweds game.

Listen to us wherever you get your Podcasts, tell your friends and enjoy. :)

Episode 7: Vagaries
This week, we get our disinterested partners/children to describe sporting stars to us...with a big twist at the end.

The Committee convenes for another week, with Adam seeking redemption for his Peter Matera error (0:00), we're reaching the business end of card collection (7:18) and we have a couple in our sights for our Clangers (17:00).

Our main job this week (22:00) was to ask our disengaged families to describe sport stars and see how many the opponent could guess based on the vague clues given. There's a plot twist you won't see coming, then Jordan explores a cricket pet peeve from his soapbox (1:26:41).

Don't forget to like, subscribe and tell your friends to jump on board the Unmatched Committee train.

Episode 8: Scrubtacular
Only a few episodes to go this season. No better time to jump on board!

A busy episode this fortnight! We have a chat about weird sporting injuries and take part in the funniest card trade of the season, before jumping into everyone's (those who have taste, anyway) favourite medical comedy, Scrubs! We have a chat about our favourite parts of the show before attempting a re-cast game with AFL personalities.

There's a very special guest around the 26 minute mark that's well worth a listen (wherever you find your podcasts). Cheers!

Episode 9: Takey McTakeFace
Not one, not two...but three special ex-AFL player appearances!

WHO WANTS SOME TAKES? GET YOUR FREE TAKES HERE!

A diversion from the norm this week, as the Unmatched Committee reflects on the 2024 AFL home and away season. Jordan pays up for his loss last week (0:00) before Adam reflects on his first football trip to Geelong (2:24). Teamy McTeamFace and the Rogue Traders face off in a battle for player card supremacy, with the big calls coming from our surprise AFL player guests (9:23).

After we hand out our final Clangers of Season 1 (29:03), we then give our quick-fire takes on the season that was (33:30). Jordan stands up on his soapbox for one last time (1:34:30) before we wrap and prepare for something completely different to end season 1.

Tune in wherever you get your podcasts! Only one episode to go of this season, and it'll be an absolute doozy.

Episode 10: AFL Survivor
A long one to close out the season, but a fun one!

Cheer on your favourite AFL players (one per side) as they go up against each other in an AFL version of Survivor. Which player will outwit, outplay and outlast the others to become Season One's sole survivor?

Check out the Dead Meat Podcast and their Horror Survivor episodes, they are fantastic and 100% the inspiration behind this iteration.

Catch us wherever you get your podcasts as our first season comes to a dramatic close. :)

Episode 11: A Very Unmatched Christmas
A special episode for anyone wanting a brief respite from their families during this festive period. Features a sneak preview for Season Two right at the end! Cheers all.

1734685747640.png
It's the most wonderful time of the year, but if you've reached your socialisation capacity and need an escape, we've got just the tonic for you!

The Twelve Games of Christmas will pit Adam and Jordan against and with each other in battles of wills, anecdotes and new guest voices as the Unmatched Committee's final meeting of 2024 looks to spread some much-needed Christmas cheer.

Merry Christmas to all.

Season Two Begins
Season 2, baby!

This fortnight we have a chat about the summer of cricket, discuss some Fewster-related trauma, rebrand our card segment as Deck Picks (we were hacked, we promise), draft our ultimate athlete teams to survive the Zombie Apocalypse, and introduce our Scuffle segment.

Give us a like, subscribe and listen wherever you get your Podcasts!

We're back from the dead! To celebrate, we're forming our ultimate sporting alliance to survive an impeding Zombie Apocalypse. First, Adam and Jordan discuss the summer of cricket (0:00), before introducing what they'll compete for in 2025 (10:22). Clangers makes a comeback for Season 2 (13:37) before the guys get their list manager hats on for a newly-branded Deck Picks (21:27).

The Zombie Apocalypse is upon the sporting world, and we try to form the ultimate 9 to survive (28:50), before Adam and Jordan get argumentative in a new segment called The Scuffle (1:25:28).

Episode 13: Season Preview
For anyone with nothing better to do over the long weekend, join Jordan and myself as we explore some of the biggest anticlimaxes of all time, before making some zesty predictions for the season ahead...

It's time for the (probably incorrect) takes that you are (definitely not) waiting to hear: the 2025 Unmatched AFL Season Preview!
Jordan and Adam start by assessing the last episode's impact on the media sphere, despite Adam's anticlimactic beginning (0:00), which begs the question of great anticlimaxes. Deck Picks (9.45) makes the guys question their strategies, while Clangers (17.00) get them laughing at unnecessary relics from the COVID era.
The 2025 AFL Season is (almost) upon us, so Jordan and Adam give their takes on what may happen over the next 7 months (23.45) before Jordan tries to stump Adam in a trivia battle we're labelling "Squad Game" (1.22.50).
Please like & subscribe wherever you find the show, and share us with two people you know who don't listen, spread some Unmatched love!

Episode 14: Butterfly Effect
What if Judd had never been traded? If Broad had walked against Agar? If the ball bounced up to Milne?

Find out! Join myself, Jordan and a (brief) special guest to discuss Opening Round and some fun alternate timelines.

Episode 16: Where'd They Play Again?
For anybody with an interest in the IPL, check out our latest episode!

The reveal of the new Tassie Devil mascot has Jordan and Adam talking memorable mascots and moments, before Jordan has the NBL in his sights for the clangers. Deck Picks takes a wild turn as Jordan nabs superstars and Adam nabs some global names!

Adam and Jordan then step back in time to celebrate the IPL starting, as each attempts to name which IPL franchise players started their careers with.

Two Fewster Cup points are on the line, with Adam returning fire at Jordan in Squad Game to round out the episode.

Episode 17: Game of Thornes
For anyone who loves a bit of Game of Thrones and a lot of sport...

Join us as we discuss Season 1, draft an AFL 9s side from characters (a real Tambling pick early) and then re-cast the show with athletes from around the globe. Catch us anywhere you get your podcasts!

One of the most iconic television shows of all time takes over the show this week, as Jordan and Adam connect the seven kingdoms of Westeros to the sporting world. After reminiscing on their favourite moments from Season One (0.00), the guys draft their ideal AFL 9s squad of GoT characters (27.45) before recasting the show using sports stars from around the globe (49.40).
We know what you're thinking: what about the Fewster Cup? There is one point up for grabs in this episode, as Jordan and Adam battle it out with some Game of Thornes trivia (1.44.19).
Don't forget to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

Episode 18: Return of the Vague
Our most penis-heavy episode yet, as we discuss some hungry Japanese critters, identify some famous groins and a dick move takes place during a controversial Deck Picks. All before the real meat of the episode, when 'several' guest stars join to help out with a favourite (and increasingly unhelpful) game.

Vagaries are back, bigger and better than ever with new voices, more obscurity and more deceit! Jordan and Adam discuss Adam's encounter with hungry deer (0:00), with a Fewster Cup point up for grabs. Controversy hits Deck Picks this week (10:20) before the guys name their clangers of the week (18:34).

Vagaries makes it's return (24:40), with the debut of thirteen new voices to the show, as well as the live debut of three others! The deception involved leads to a memorable scuffle (1:30.27), where the boys discuss the European Cricket League.

Episode 19: Harknado
A good one for anyone interested in women's footy!

1749270200873.png

This fortnight we welcomed our first interview-guest, ex-Eagle Jayme Harken, as she opens up on women's sport, the influence of Daisy Pearce and the nature of personal relationships in professional sport. A great egg, it's well worth a listen.

It's a very special episode, as Adam and Jordan welcome their first (non-immediate family) guest to the show: West Coast AFLW Player Jayme Harken.

Adam decides to workshop episode titles with the guest (3:50), before revealing a Deck Picks twist (6:10). Jayme regails us with a Clanger from her football career, while Adam and Jordan lament a couple of moments they'd rather have back (14:42).

In an incredibly open, in-depth interview (23:37), Jayme opens up about her time on the West Coast list, her competitive nature, the state of women's football, the impact of social media, romantic relationships and where women's football is headed.

Having got to know the West Coast players, Jayme and Adam work together in a special AFLW Newlyweds game (1:01:42), to see if fan perception matches reality.

Episode 20: Connect Four
At a loss with what to do during an Eagles' bye weekend? The UMC Pod has you covered!

We start with a look towards the next WTC Final, with the possibility of a revamped Aussie XI seeking redemption. A wild week of Deck Picks warms us up before we try to find common connections between lists of 4 athletes.

Catch us wherever you listen to your podcasts. Cheers guys!

The Committee is back in session again, with Adam and Jordan looking at what Australia's 2027 World Test Championship XI may look like (1:24), discovering a new twist in Deck Picks (9:58) and calling out more clangers (22:57).

In life, we all seek connection. Therefore, this week's Fewster Cup point is based around just that, as Adam and Jordan try to figure out the connection between four different sportspeople (29:15).

If you think you've got a unique perspective to add to the show, get in touch at unmatchedcommitteepod@gmail.com as we're always on the lookout for extra voices to go on the show!

Episode 21: Nations United
For anybody looking to avoid watching Freo this morning (or avoid the weather this afternoon), join us!

This fortnight, we spring a prison break, settle a Deck Picks tiff, and try to name a 23 of overseas-born players.

The boys are back again with a return to the original format. A familiar friend pays a visit (0:00), before Adam and Jordan wax poetic about a couple of retirements and Grand Final stories. Deck Picks heats up, with the Arbitrator's decision coming in (9:21) while they traverse the globe for more Clangers (18:05).

Adam constructs a team full of players born overseas, and Jordan has to guess who they are (22:11), with a Fewster Cup point up for grabs. Adam leads 5-4, can Jordan steal back some ground?

Lastly, after West Coast's Womens announcement through the week, the boys scuffle over whether Co-Captains should be a thing.

Catch us wherever you get your podcasts. Cheers guys!

Episode 22: Calamari Ring
What would happen if you threw 456 AFL/AFLW players into Squid Game?

Well, we didn't have the budget for that, so we challenged 57 of them to a round of Calamari Ring instead! Including 3 absolutely iconic Eagles contestants, who can make it through a series of our favourite Aussie games to claim the 5-million-dollar prize?

Ever wondered which AFL/AFLW player (current or former) would survive a Squid Game-style elimination show? Wonder no more, as in the Unmatched Committee special, Adam and Jordan put an AFL spin on the infamous television series in 'Calamari Ring'. Featuring original music pieces, a $5m (hypothetical) prize for the winner and plenty of twists and turns along the way, Calamari Ring is an absolute treat for all listeners.

Is this how a mid-season breakaway competition should look? You tell us.

Good fun this one, but took a bit of work.

Catch us wherever you get your podcasts and give us a like on socials/share/listen. Cheers. :)

Episode 23: Numberwang!

If you're looking for coherence, structure and a nice relaxing listen, maybe give this one a miss.

If you like obscure stats, horrible guesses and even worse friends, maybe give it a chance!

Give us a like, a listen wherever you get your podcasts - and I apologise in advance for this one.

AFL SURVIVOR SEASON 2
Ever dreamt of Kane Cornes being marooned on a deserted island? Well, imagine no longer!

1757725790470.png

It's time for our second iteration of AFL Survivor. Bigger and better than the last (which is why we needed two parts - and yes, sacrilege to have Daisy in a Demons jumper - but how else could I stack the deck with 1 player-per-team restrictions?)

Jump on board as we near the end of our second season, but expect some Ashes content in the offseason too.

1757725916713.png

Part 1: Tribe Selection to Episode 5
Part 2: Episode 6 to Final Tribal

IT'S BAAAAACK! AFL Survivor returns with more twists, more psychological warfare and MORE PEOPLE! Survivor fanatic Shannon joins Adam and Jordan as we go through the second edition of AFL Survivor.

S02 E18: Ashes Preview
With the Ashes finally upon us, we thought we'd return to some summer content...

A summer convening of the Unmatched Committee can mean only one thing: The Ashes are upon us! Jordan and Adam preview what is certain to be an exciting Ashes series, and try to predict what these two wildly unpredictable teams may dish up. There's plenty to like in the revamped format of the Unmatched Committee.

Catch us wherever you get your podcasts!

A good way to spend 50 minutes of the 4 months waiting for the next Test...

Don't fret, England fans. BazBall remains love, BazBall remains life. From kidnappings to butter knives, ordained deacons to pedal boat flips - Adam and Jordan put together the Ultimate BazBall XI to take down those filthy Australians.

Experimenting with shorter run times, would love any feedback. Catch us wherever you get your podcasts!
