I think Danger is a no, look I love him as a player but IMO I don't think he has outstanding football smarts, there are some time's where it seems he just doesnt have that 'feel' for the game, maybe trying to take on one player to many, not choosing the right option, I agree 100% as well in regards to the rest of our team and have said so here on numerous occasions, we are not a 'smart' football team, we far too often choose the wrong option, give away needless free kicks, we dont help our teammates in contested situations, and when we are out of form, my lord it shows up easily......

I think at times he gets by on his other outstanding attributes and it can compensate for him not being 'footy smart', will be very interesting to see how his career develops once he loses a notch or two in pace, Judd seems an easy comparison but even in Judd's early years he knew where to go, where to position himself for maximum pay off, Danger has yet to learn this, It's an interesting question to pose, Can you learn football smarts or is it something you either have or dont have?

You are right, what he has actually posted isn't troll worthy. However, he has been a member of the Big Footy cyber community for just over a month now and his entire 8 post has been made in this thread.

I guess, and I could be wrong but I along with 99.99% of other members would make at least one post on the team board they supporter. Most would be this within a hour, or even a day but no, this guy has waited 5 weeks. Nothing wrong with that, if he is not trolling or planning on trolling someone.

Maybe bullshit, but that is just my impression from watching him; I realize that this isn't exactly a popular stance, especially on this board, but I think it pretty much sums him up. He is skillful and strong, and has the ability to lead well, but he does not have the same football sense as other recent CHFs like Riewoldt. He performed extremely well last year due to the fact that the Adelaide midfield was firing and he can lead well, not because of his smarts. By all means critique what I have said; that's really why I posted on here, but yeah maybe write something a bit more meaningful than "utter, utter bullshit". Look at my previous points and have a reply to what I have written, would be interested to know your opinion.

While Tex does come across in interviews and such as not having a lot going on between his ears, his football intelligence and understanding of the game are outstanding. The reason he dominated for Norwood as a teenager, despite not being particularly built for an 18 year old, is because he understands where to run and lead to in order to get free. Tex is not a particularly good pack/contested mark. The reason he played so well last year is because he understands the game. Also, its a bit rich for you to be criticising someone for having a go at your judgement of Tex without providing an argument, while you basically just said Tex has no football smarts with literally no basis for your argument.

It depends a bit on what you mean by "smarts". Danger has an intrinsic understanding of where the footy is going to go, and where spaces are likely to open up on the field. On the other hand, he doesn't have an intrinsic understanding of when he should go and when he should stay on his feet, or when he should pass off quickly rather than go for a long run, etc.

He's certainly not a footy genius, but he's got some legitimate footy smarts.
