I'm feeling in a bit of a crappy mood, and have had the urge to dump negativity in a couple of threads, but have refrained. So i thought that if i created a "Vent Thread", then I could contain it all in one place, and others could add the things that have really made them angry / frustrated / pissed off so far this season...

One point per post - you can't post again until someone else has posted first.

I'll start.

1. Still seething over the piss-poor effort in the second half against Melbourne, and the fall out that has occurred as a result in the media, on BF... And that I can't see a whole lot changing in the short-term at least.

Next...

2) Extremely disappointed with the administraion/team as a whole. I will be waiting till the end of all trade and draft periods and if the club deserves it, and only IF they deseve it will I hand over my hard earned again. I love the club but sometimes there needs to be tough love to right the wrongs of the past.

If the club goes down a similar track next year, I'm sure alot of people will vote with their feet. Lets hope the administration of our club realizes this before it's too late. I am not a lamb that walks straight into the abattoir Mr Hart.

Still seething over the Geelong game, I have never been so heartbroken during a sporting event in my life :(

aren't you guys used to it by now? i have given up being miserable when we lose because it's just not worth it

i am just looking forward to this weeks game, i have a feeling things are about to turn

Never get used to it pinkus... unfortunately. :(

I am also sick of the snide comments worked into every second thread on this site by posters who have NFI... and the feeling that I should be defending the club... but realising there's no point - either because a) they have their preconceived notions anyway; b) they find it amusing to kick you when you're down; or c) they're right. :o

I like your optimism but if we start winning a few it is only going to gloss over some serious deficiencies our club has. As horrible as it sounds I think we should aim for early draft picks. That means losing games and for the first time in 13 years thats what I want to do. Sad but true.:(

this is true

there are many times when i contemplate clicking on the 'reply' button when someone has a crack but, as you say, there are so many nuff nuffs on this site

i am still angry about the selected team in rd 1 and in particular that Mark Johnson was given a spot ahead of Rhys Palmer or Ibbo or Drum. I have never been so disappointed on seeing a team sheet. Removed any sense or hope that the new coaching staff was looking forward or had any vision other than the same old same old. Set the whole season off on the wrong foot and we have never really recovered.

Don't think so...especially if we are playing the likes of Palmer, Ibbotson Mayne, hinkley etc...
The start of something goof.

I have picked up my dummy. Harves is right - we have played pretty good against the top 4 sides without scoring a win.

I can live with that but seemingly pulling out shit efforts which puts the pressure back on us instead of the other mob, frustrates the hell out of me.

It has happened so often and for so long that I even thought at times that maybe some of ours have been paid off to throw games.

Now that's extreme paranoia - must remember to not overdo the (Bundy) medication! :D

Mark Johnson. Don't want him, don't need him.

He's 30. He's slow. He's either injured or he's suspended. Just what we really needed. :thumbsd:

That's it really. It's not that I dislike the guy, I don't even know him it was just another example of the kind of short sighted thinking that brought Croad, Tarrant yada yada to the club.

This year I though finally, finally they are looking ahead and then along comes Johnson. I haven't really recovered. I've just been expecting more crap and I haven't been disappointed. Except by the Geelong game which gave me some hope, and then Melbourne and now I'm an empty shell. I have no expectation about the game this week. I'll be there but I don't expect to win. Not unlike a bad relationship really.

The thing that I hate about this season is how quick people have been to turn on their own club. Mark Harvey and the rest of the coaching staff know exactly what they're doing and they know a hell of a lot more about every player, their role in the team, their capabilities and their fitness than you or I. For BigFooty posters to come on to this site and continually bag them out for what they perceive to be mistakes is just ludicrous, compared to the coaching staff we have NFI what's going on. If Mark Harvey thinks that Shaun McManus will be able to contribute more to the team than Clayton Hinkley, he's probably right. If you want to come on here and threaten to hand back your membership because Matthew Carr got picked, put your money where your mouth is and hand the bastard back because we sure as hell won't miss any of you boxheadgreg types.

I hear ya. Maybe we need to band together and draw a line in the sand and give it back at every available opportunity. ;)

That's what we want our team to do after all.

Anyway, that's what I'm doing from now on, even if I don't have a sound basis for what I'm saying, I'm going stand up for Freo! Maybe.

Was forced to watch you guys train the other day....MMMmmmmm Just venting my anger

You're exactly right...that's why we are 6-1 and sitting inside the 8...

Having said that...I shall give him the benefit of the doubt :D
