I folded.

It's still not right though, as the best hands on the board in that. I give up.

Winner was 3x8s, 2x5s.
Board was 3x5s, 2x8s

I was 5/8...but folded.

too confusing.

I found my villain again today, or rather, he found me and sat two to my right on an already fishy 6max table. Bottom line, I managed to win back all of yesterday's losses (but not before he rivered a flush vs my 2 pair). :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Oh, and then there was the guy on my left, who after defending his blind with 63o, hit a runner-runner straight. Fortunately, the rest of the session was a bit of a heater in my direction.

WTF are you talking about? You folded quads when there was nothing out there that could possibly beat you? When you folded the turn you had 8's full of 5's, nothing could beat you there either.

*head explodes*

He folded pre. This is the standard shit where you correctly fold junk only for the board to come down with a boat or quads. Happens all the time.

If you saw these players, you'd be sorely tempted, i think. The PLO is not as fishy as other sites from what I have seen so far.

Nah, limit tilts me too much. I can't take it.

In any case, I think I need to get my cash onto some euro sites pronto.

Sorry to offend KP. Yes I folded pre. Quad's don't come up too often (I think I've seen about 4 or 5 in total), but to have 8 out of 11 'live' cards be either a 5 or an 8 was kind of freaky.

Well 6 out of 9, plus my two I folded.

If it has to be a Vent, IF only I hadn't folded.... :D

Urgh. finished 114th in a 3.30 entry (1700 participants). Was in the top 10 at the time but had a couple of bad hands (i swear every time i get pocket K's these days, someone else has pocket A's)

But I absolutely screwed one guy over.

I get dealt 78s in the BB, by the time it gets around to me two players are all in so I go to fold (my stack was about 30k at this point) and accidentally click call. So basically I'm ****ed, swearing screaming just super pissed off because its going to leave me with about 8k.

Flop comes 788. I start pmsl. I shove and the third player folds. Other guy flips over K's and starts abusing me for making the call with 78. I try to explain it was accidental but he refuses to believe me lol.

Poor guy was just shattered.

I never quite understood why people abuses others when they get beaten. If he saw your hand before the flop he would have loved for you to call, but lady luck decided to knee him in the groin. He had the best hand by far pre-flop but it is impossible to eliminate the element of luck in the game, in fact it is the balance between strategy and luck that makes the game interesting.

Yeah exactly. I mean he would have been gutted cause he was tight/weak and waiting for a hand all night. He was like a 90% favourite preflop.

But you know, later on in the tourney, I'm sitting in the top 20 with 130 players left, and I was out in 114th because my K's got beaten by A's, and my J's got beaten by K's and my A6 got beaten by Q3.

Now none of the calls or bets I made were very bad in the circumstances, and I was aiming to win the whole thing so you have to take some chances whilst most players are prepared to go all in a bit more. But ultimately, you win some and you lose some. Its a game you're going to love and hate simultaneously.

Stupid play? Or Bluff gone wrong.

Last night, at a 5/10c table. I get pocket kings, pre-flop bet, raise, a few folders. I re-raise, get a fold, and a big bet.

He had about $4, and put $2.90 in as a bet (2x pot). With pocket Ks I had to call, though it pot-commited me.

Flop came Q/9/6 rainbow. I bet another $1 (into $8 pot) He folded.

?

All I can think of is I called his big bet, then led out, and he had nothing.

Let's just recap this action, working backwards. His $2.90 is 2x pot, which means the pot was $1.50 after a bet, raise and reraise. What were you doing, minraising?

Played PokerPros at crown yesterday.. Played around 30-ish hands and got NOTHING. Not a single card over a 9 until my last hand, was bleeding blinds. I was shortstacked to $15 when this happened:

I get 9-10 pre flop, some guy min-raised to $2, five players in the pot when the flop comes.

Flop: 9, Q, 9 with two spades
One guy bets $5, two folds, one call, then I, putting one on a flush draw and the other on the Q, shove all in, one of them would have had only another $5 so he shoves, the other guy calls.

Cards turned over, one guy has a 6-9, the guy who i thought hit the Q did have a Q-5o. I'm happy no flush draw is there.

Turn = 6
River = bleh

Would have been a $46 pot, which would have put me back in the game. ****ing hell.

Mind you, nothing wrong with the guys play, just venting at the luck is all.
