Another typical example of whats been happening at the start of every game lately. This follows Kings running into Aces last night after closing on to be itm. Really need stop playing.
dont you ever have a bad beat win?
how many hands do you play between these bad losses?
sounds like your playing on tilt
have a few beers, relax, go back a few levels and get back on ya horse!!

Last night while playing on a pretty agressive table I had KK, QQ, AK in the BB - all 3 folded to me in the space of 3 orbits... Angry man!

Actually now you mention it, you're right I do win hands.

Where/how does it sound like I'm playing on tilt? Being frustrated by a bad run does not equate to playing on tilt.

Sounds like TILT to me.

Then perhaps you don't understand the concept.

It may sound like tilt, but it is a far stretch to draw the conclusion that I'm 'playing on tilt' (especially from the hand/s posted). Granted, a bad run may be the time a player is most at risk of this occurring, however I don't let tilt affect my game (not anymore at least). Lackluster attitude yes, but not tilt.

I asked you why it sounded like 'I was playing on tilt', not to reiterate it.

Yep, definitely need a break :thumbsd: Thought his river bet was an attempted steal, then when I raised he took a while before re-raising. I still didn't think he was strong, but rather believed he thought I was weak. I then strongly consider QJ, but expected he would have either raised pre, or bet/raised the flop with his flush/straight draw to see where he is at.

I probably shouldn't have shoved, yet couldn't specifically put him on QJ, and felt he would be committed enough to call with a marginal hand.

Tilt is a poker term for a state of mental confusion or frustration in which a player adopts a less than optimal strategy.

When I went on my downswing I believed I wasn't on tilt. I wasn't being over agressive, I wasn't shoving with air but I relaise now I wasn't playing optimaly. I'd check back a turn I would have too bet, I would flat pre instead of 3 betting. Tilt doesn't just mean crazy shoving but just being fustrated affects you.

The hand above is a cooler no doubt. QJ is rarely/never in his range here at all. Maybe you could call the river re-raise as river-reaise is always the nuts but I'm shoving all day.

[ ] Getting it all-in pre Queens vs. Jacks = tilting
[x] Getting sucked out on after getting it in a 80-20 favourite pre could lead to tilting.

Actually now you mention it, you're right I do win hands.

Just for clarification: Tilt is a poker term for a state of mental confusion or frustration in which a player adopts a less than optimal strategy, usually resulting in the player becoming over-agressive.

He was probably frustrated that his requests for chip dumping were being denied... :D

Think you played it fine except for the last re-raise, once he makes that 3rd raise to 2500 on the river i'd just be flat-calling there; still you only lose to JQ and he could pay you off with a very wide range of hands there so you can make a case for the shove really, especially if he's a donkey.

Thanks, much valued.
Just trying to help sort out why he's so frustrated

For starters, I have long forgotten what you want me to apologise for.

Whatever these issues were, you should remember I had only just started playing poker. After 1 1/2+ years, my attitude/strategies etc. have long changed, and I can clearly see the faults in some of my past comments.

We have both previously made petty remarks, and we both haven't shown class at times - the difference now being only one of us is continuing this trend.

Clearly it is up to you, but like I said it would be nice if you removed me from your sig. Dislike me however much you want, but move on please.

The poker board has been filled with so much of this crap, and if it wasn't annoying over a year ago (it was), then it certainly is now.

Whats the difference??

Lies and abusive pm's. Just a few words will do, not too difficult.
As promised the sig goes once you do.

I think we need an anti-vent thread. Something like getting AA in the BB and two shove into you, one has an underpair, the other KQss, and your Aces hold up :thumbsu:

So if we play HU with a fellow poster, KK guy posts here, and AA guy posts in the anti-vent thread?

I like it.

How about three players all in, one before with AA, one after with AA, me in the middle with QQ and a Q comes out on the flop. :thumbsu:
