Had an average stack (10k) going into the break in the tournament im in. Come back only to see Full tilt trying to reconnect, after 5 or so mins im starting to get pretty tilted so I try reconnecting my internet, fail, mozilla wont load up anything so I hover my mouse over my connection to see it says it's running at full speed. decided to open Pokerstars, that fails so I check the connection with that and it shows me this....

****youbigpond.jpg

As you can see, pokerstars tells me It's horrible but good ol telstra over in the corner is telling me it's running fine and dandy, now its pretty sad day when I trust an internet poker site over my internet service provider. **** you telstra **** you, this shit keeps on happening, what the **** am I paying for.

So anywho after 40mins of this shit I finally get back on and notice i have 7k left and the blinds are 250/500 and I see this....

****************.jpg

Oops whoopsie do do, looks like I cant shove my hand because telstra gave me false hope and ****ed me over again.

Now I'm busto 3 hands after I finally got on 55 couldn't hold v AK.

Now you're probably wondering why I don't vent with them, well you see I would love to but the last time I tried to do that the net was failing so much that the e-mail timed out and wouldn't send. Oh telstra, that's so you. ****! On serious monkey tilt atm.

EDIT: No idea why my pics arent showing up here are the two links for them as it paints the perfect picture.

Couldn't get back into it after that, managed to hang on for 10th. Shorstacked the whole time just stealing blinds, everytime I got close to 20bb's+ the blinds went up. Made a gambling call with 55 after min-raising the BB who was a massive rock, he shoves in for just under 10bb's, getting the right price to call but probably not against this guy, he flipped KK and flopped quads lol.

Last hand.

When it continually happens over and over again, it's gotten to a point that I can predict the river and get it right 100% of the time.

Fold pre please. KJo is to weak a hand to be playing first level in a SNG.

Fold pre? Really?

I'm interested in others thoughts on this. I mean, I don't really like the hand but it's decent enough to see a flop with IMO. It's a turbo SNG, does that change anything?

It plays really bad against peoples first level opening ranges. Although given its a $1.50 sng maybe it's okay because people are opening wider then they should. I still think it's a pretty clear cut fold from the BB, maybe you can flat it from the button but only then it's because it's a $1.50 sng and the majority of people playing them have no grasp on basic SNG concepts.

Gotta agree with Drummer.

Wouldn't be bad if you had raised yourself in LP, but calling a raise pre OOP especially after 2 limpers with KJos is pretty bad. Will usually just get you in awkward spots where you're not sure if you're good or not, i.e. outkicked. Turbo structure shouldn't change anything; I know it may seem like you have to make something happen early but there's still enough time to be patient and wait for the right spots.

If it was s00ted then i'd see a flop though.

Ehhhh, don't think I would. You can probably only call here if someone from late position raises and you get a couple of calls, but I hate calling here even if they are suited after the sb pops it. KJ off or s00ted is pretty much a no no for me in the first level unless theirs a bunch of people have limped already.

Fair enough, cheers for the advice.

Think I'm going to give PS a break though at the moment. I've been bad-beated/coolered too many times on there recently and it's affecting my game.

Although it technically only adds about 3% more value to your hand pre-flop I think early on KJdd can be played profitably even OOP. If you're a decent enough player post-flop I think it's an alright hand to see a flop with when you're deepstacked, s00ted that is. I know I sound like a mad man trying to to argue a completely different case for basically the same hand, but I just think it adds enough value to see a cheap flop in regards to your stack early to try and spike gin with a flush draw/straight draw/overcards type flop.

Oh and FC, taking a few days usually a week break from poker altogether usually does a world of good for me.

Nothing wrong with healthy discussion, it's an important factor in getting better as a player.

I agree with almost everything but I will add my thoughts. Seeing a flop from the cut-off and button is alright provided that it is a multi-way pot plus if you do spike a king or jack you have to be prepared to lay it down.

FML, Aces just get cracked at the worst times. I could of played this a million different ways I guess but the money was probably always getting in.
