Leuey got caught in a tricky situation on the wing during the match and Jed ran about 75 metres in 5 seconds flat from the backline to bail him out.

Not sure if anyone else noticed that but it was a pretty good captain moment. Let's not ride Jed for not being flashy and full of X-Factor. He'll prove his worth over the year.

I noticed that too. Also noticed him get a couple of the young guys calmed down a bit during that third quarter Cats onslaught.

I don't think he will ever be a star of the game but he can play a role well enough. I get the impression the back six are still learning to organize themselves in pressure situations under this game plan and he is included. They all look just slightly unsure at the moment.

His great attribute apparently is his empathy for the younger generation. IMO, he Is not charismatic but internally strong and he didn't get the job for any other reason than respect from his team mates both on and off the field. Good enough for me.

Bought a ticket to the Q-clash via ticketmaster and got an email today from the Suns, telling me my Suns online account no., password and basically confirmation that the Suns are planning on emailing me ad nauseum as though I'm a member.

I don't remember clicking on an option asking for this crap, so am guessing there was an opt-in check box I missed.

Just confirms that there's pretty much no divide between ticketmaster & the AFL in terms of email details. Buy a ticket to an away game, get spammed by the home club wanting your business.

How on Earth are they different enough situations to give one player a week off, and the other player a reprimand?

Bought my Dad a Geelong book from the Cats online shop 3 years ago. I get as many emails from them still as I do from the Lions.

It's probably been mentioned before , but first game in Melbourne is round 9. What filthy son of a biatch thought this up?? I have a month long holiday in Melbourne every year (from abroad), and the best I can get is easter Thursday on TV. Absolutely disgraceful from the AFL. 2 years ago we saw Lions maul Demons, and last year round 1 V the dogs... (anyway). Very poor form.

That leaves Rockliff, Dangerfield and Martin for those two spots, it would be fair to leave Martin out of the top 50 IMO given some of the guys they have around 35-45
