You have to remember, that was predicated on the reasoning of a very incompetent board, which sadly, a number of them are still presiding, with a president which is Angus Johnson reincarnated.

Unfortunately, there were many before him that could be said about; Garry Wilson, Kevin Murray (minus the Brownlow), Mick Conlan, Doc Wheildon, Jamie Shaw...ok, so I've exaggerated on the last three...Bobby Skilton etc etc, but I hear your point.

We've gone from being just outside the 8 to being clearly in the worst 2 teams in the comp and being completely unable to compete with top 8-12 teams.

I can't see us going up to that next level for at least 2 or 3 years.

I wasn't home for the game, but I will note that I only see one report from the game day thread. If you see something you think is out of line, i.e. personal attacks, report it - it will bring it to our attention a lot quicker than us scanning through threads.

Expected to win a flag in 2016 but then proceeded to neglect our welfare and development departments to such an extent that we lost 5 quality youngsters. Brilliant.

On the subject of our inability to run out quarters, let alone games, we are still yet to win a quarter (14 quarters) of football in the second half this season. Add into that the horrible statistic of the amount of points we have conceded in red time; you'd have to think the strength and condition department should be in the gun.

I appreciate that is a combination of young teams, which lets be honest, is of our own doing and the match committee, and perhaps us not being able to pay and attract the very best in the field. Considering that we were widely regarded as being the leaders in this area 10 years ago, it is remarkable how another facet of our club has been left behind the competition.

Our strength and conditioning wasn't that bad last year. I don't think it's regressed that much. I think it's more of a personnel and confidence issue.

Leppa strikes me as the smiling assassin. Giving players a fair go this season before cleaning out and trading at seasons end. Seems way too calm for a Coach that is prepared to sit back and tolerate that type of performance.
