Yeah, I checked my phone at quarter time to see what people were saying, and while I obviously wasn't expecting positives, it was all a bit far.

Seems my 'sack Voss' joke after things came good in the second quarter went over a few heads, though...

What really gets me is that a high percentage of the posters who were saying sack Voss, the club hasn't improved and why would draftees be happy to come to our club weren't here to celebrate the great win after the match. I'll let you decide what that means.

That first quarter was absolutely pathetic I just couldn't believe we started like that. No pressure no drive we just didn't switch on.

That first quarter was terrible, supporters had every right to question many aspects of the club. Yeah some of the posts were feral and idiotic, but possibly not so reactive considering the outcomes of the games against Carlton and Richmond.

A few more made it to my ignore list after last night. Hate the "sack vossy" default of some posters when things go wrong.

Umpiring was horrible.

I've got no problems with this board being used to vent frustration when things are going badly wrong, as in the first quarter last night.

But sometimes I reckon it looks as though people are competing to say the most outrageous crap. "Sack Voss? I reckon castrate him." "Castrate Voss? I reckon we should castrate him and make him dress like a girl."


It actually looks really juvenile when read back. Really juvenile.

Anyway, as long as board rules aren't broken, then I've got no real issues. I just wonder if this is the impression you want people to have of you....

I will vent the fact I was unable to watch the game live and living the raw emotional roller coaster ride as the side appears to have gone from shit (1st qtr) to diamond (end result).
I'll catch up on the reply and pretend I don't know the outcome.

It's more the way posters turned on each other. Really quite ugly.

And as has been mentioned, some of the most vocal critics in the first quarter didnt seem to have much to say at the end.

Agree with POBT, it definitely seems like a contest to see who can be the most scathing in their criticisms.

its all well and good to get stuck into posters now we have won, but those comments were made at a very frustrating time and when you consider the past 3 weeks it was just about frustration. yes i agree there is way too much personal attacks on this forum at times , its fine to have a few light digs at each other in jest but abuse is out of line.

at qtr time there was no chance for even the greatest optimist to forsee what would unfold. but true credit to voss , his assistants and the players for turning a disaster into a great victory

I'm thinking that you are including me in this....if someone posts something so blatantly ridiculous and untrue about me or what I've said or supposed to have done, then yes I'll have a go back.....as I've seen you do a couple of times over the journey...

Its never nice to have a verbal stoush on our board, I agree...but sometimes some things cannot be ignored..
I'm sorry if my response to a certain poster was considered ugly...I considered what he said totally out of line....
