Rich has always had to battle hard but he needs to improve with his handling of a hard tag. It's always going to be there so needs to work around it cause we need him. Was virtually on the bench for 3 quarters today.

The coaches should seriously look to getting Raines to literally tag Rich all summer, so that he can somehow learn to deal with it b/c he aint at the moment.

Why the hell, do our media department and medical department fail to communicate to give us an update on Merrett? All we get is "Sent for scans, get the update in the Bupa Recovery Report" Every other club at least updates the supporters on the area of the injury or suspected seriousness. Part of me thinks that the communist board of ours is picking and choosing which information to feed to the public. Surely the club doctor is qualified to give us supporters an educated opinion

Another one for Rich... I just have no idea why he can't beat a tag... ever since his second year he has been tagged and he still has no idea...it was Wallis too and he has only started tagging the last month...

We are in a bit of a pickle... Rich plays well the team plays well, but when he goes quite we lose momentum and his opponent burns us. 1st World problems

Having surveyed the ladder, I'm really pissed off that Richmond has now supplanted Collingwood in 5th place.

Which means that:

After we account for Geelong

and Richmond hold on to 5th next week (you can work that one out for yourself)

and Port beat Carlton

and the Bombers get turfed out of the 8,

then

we only get to beat Richmond in the first week of the Finals instead of getting the ultimate satisfaction of flogging the Pies.
