He's not even getting recognised by his teammates. He hasn't been nominate for the ALFPA MVP.

They probably nominated someone from a Melbourne club? :P

**** our board. **** them to hell! They have ****ed our club up so much. They have ****ed up so much this year. They deserve to be hung out to dry! Its a disgrace what they have done. Having no coach virtually guarantees those young kids will not have an influential voice in their ear saying what future they have at the club.

Gen Y mummy's boys - toughen up and do some hard yards. flipping sooks!

Ps to all those gen Yers that are tough, doing the hard yards and are not sooks this is not directed at you :p

Yeah what VtB said!

Except I will direct it to all Gen Y's... 'cause you know it's true! :p

What a basket case of a footy club.

Easily the lowest ebb of this club and if anyone says otherwise, is blatantly lying.

A basket case of a board, no coach, players can't get out of the club quick enough, off field incidents and now looking at the players wanting out, Kerr's track record looks poor to say the least.

Time to use your favourite emoticon

I want to know why bigfooty crashes. I thought the supposed upgrade some years back was to remedy this. I want my money back. Oh I didn't pay any... but anyway, how are we meant to troll flogs on the bay when it crashes with only 80 or 90,000 hits in a minute. Weak as pi$$.

Not really a vent. I'm extremely grateful that Collingwood and Richmond fans are down in the dumps today. It warms my heart and makes me feel a little less depressed that we don't have a coach or a board.

While listening to some analysis of the weekend's games today, for about the 10th time this season I heard a commentator say that such and such player has flown under the radar a bit because they are not from a Melbourne team and so aren't well known outside their city/state. FFS, you're getting paid to analyse the game! You probably get free flights and entry to all games anyway but if not or you can't make it at least buy a goddamn Foxtel subscription (tax deductible) and watch them if you're going to analyse the sport. I bet no sports analyst in the U.S ever says that some smaller market team has taken them by complete surprise because they show up at finals time or have a good game or two.

Just because we're done and dusted and our season is over (prematurely some may argue), doesn't mean that every thread on this board has to be derailed. It's really getting to me.

It's a vent thread, surely the requirements for 'on topic' are a bit looser than other threads.

Word to the wise

The consistent hammering of generation Y recently frustrates me to no end. 18-21 year old players are thrown into the gen Y category as though this is a separate category to more seasoned and hardened players.

Generation Y is commonly known as the label of the generation of children born between the early 80s and around 2000 ish.

The early 80s.

Early 80s.

Jonathan Brown - b. 1981 - Generation Y
Daniel Merrett - b. 1984 - Generation Y
Brent Moloney - b. 1984 - Generation Y
Haso - b. 1984 - Generation Y

With that kind of timeframe - THE VAST MAJORITY OF ALL SENIOR FOOTBALL PLAYERS IN THE LEAGUE ARE GENERATION Y.

Why not just complain about 'kids these days'? It would be more accurate.

This kind of over-generalisation is typical of gen-X-ers and Baby Boomers anyway...

Google disagrees Haso.. and you can't argue with the big G.

gen·er·a·tion y

Noun
The generation born in the 1980s and 1990s, typically regarded as increasingly familiar with digital and electronic technology.

No way does Browny count as Gen Y. He only just scapes in on the year born, and certainly fails the second half of that test.

Since when is Jonathan Brown typical? ;)
