I have Yeo's. I wonder what a microwave does to a signature. :D

I would like to propose a new rule. To protect the integrity of the drafts a player that has been with the team that they were drafted with if they want to go home the team drafting should have to give up their pick the same as the round the player was drafted in. Also no psd unless delisted. It would protect the sides like Brisbane from getting bent over and treated like a development side. :rainbow:

Much like what the retainment allowance was designed for.

Pretty sure Eddie would be screaming "Inequality" at the top of his lungs as per usual.

M8, my brain can't handle the lack of commas, gumby pls

He can't scream if it was a general rule to protect all sides. :D
But it would only really benefit teams whom recruited players that were top draft picks, an inherently flawed notion (I'll demonstrate):

Dane Swan compo = 4th round
Scott Gumbleton compo = 1st round

Doesn't really make sense, it's common place for players to increase/decrease in relative worth in comparison to which round they were taken in the National Draft.

It should only apply when players have only served less than 4 years. It is to stop the rebuilding sides being picked over.

The fact is, people shouldn't be blasted for wanting to move back near their family. You don't know what the situation is. Defence probably wasn't happy with my Dad giving up being a trained technician to work behind a desk so he could stay in Oakey, but he had to put his family first.

Defence has a minimum return of service for this exact reason. It's the length of your training, plus a year. Ie, a four year degree will require a total of nine years with the force. In your analogy, these kids are skipping out just as they finished their apprenticeship.

That's before you consider all of the rubbish they carry on with by nominating a team when the excuse is homesickness, which diminishes our ability to be fairly compensated. The goodwill West Coast afforded Judd set a really bad precedent in that regard.

Wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire.

Some fans out there just complain, complain and complain about everything the club does. Gets to a point sometimes where you'd like to pull your hair out.

Love how Pearce Hanley called the players departing "mummy's boys". Would hate to see so much talent just walk out on my club just because they want to go home. Not fair on the club at all who have invested so much time into them.
