I liked Dermie's assessment of the Brown 50m penalty. Smart professional foul and a fair price to pay to tell Brian Lake that the game isn't going to be played on his terms.

Those were great, but experienced players still need to show more discipline.

Frankly that's a ridiculous assessment. Lake took the mark in his own defensive 50 with most of the players clogging up the middle of the ground. There was no reason to think the rebound was on. Brown was just late to the contest.

And it's not the first time in the past few weeks Brown has given away a dumb 50.

Moments of courage are great, but it shouldn't get you a free pass to do stupid things that hurt the team.

There's nothing in the rule book that says the free kick count has to be even, maybe we just gave away more free kicks than the opposition? The West Coast game was a disgrace, but besides that I think we've hardly been given an unfair run. The guys make mistakes, sometimes you just don't have luck on your side.

Which is why I am SO pissed off about Simon Black. I think it's really hypocritical that one player gets elbowed and nothing is done, whereas another player cops one too and a player gets reported. Not fair.

If you are suggesting that Rocky goes missing against good teams, I think you need to look at the stats. Especially last year.

Polkinghorne's torp credit is just about worn out. His handball to Rohan's feet in the first was the first counter goal Syd were given. He is consistently doing things just short of senior standard. He really has disappointed, after a so-so run against the D's.

Also, **** every ****smoker busting the knives out for Voss after waiting until he did to shift Sauce. Same old w***ers.

If you are suggesting that Rocky goes missing against good teams, I think you need to look at the stats. Especially last year.

He hasn't performed as well this season in games when we've lost, particularly against the better teams. There's also been a significant difference between his better games and his poorer ones.

I'd also say that in today's game and the game against Hawthorn, just to give some recent examples against better opponents, that he increased his stats significantly once the game was already iced.

He needs to be fed to the sharks to be honest. He just fails to deliver time and time again. Clanger after clanger and it just kills us. Time for a stint in the reserves for sure.
