How does Yeo get a game? Constantly makes dumb mistakes and gives away dumb free kicks.

Wins the ball through intercept marks, takes the game on and offers a speedy rebound option from defense. How many dumb mistakes and free kicks has he given away?

Brown. Since Lynch we haven't had much luck with our legends finishing their careers strongly.

Was he not demonstrating the technique of a "rant", and his blind rage happened to fall upon poor old Yeoy?

This is the Vent thread, take your reasoned opinions elsewhere they're not welcome here.

While I'm at it.. Umpires.. who seriously thinks that the JOB high tackle was there, or the 50m when Fisher was nearly 40m away from the mark and almost directly behind the player he gave the 50m penalty to, how could he even see if the player had encroached on the mark better than the control umpire who was 15m away.

And.. who the hell lets a man who has played for a team (and with current players to boot) officiate a game they're involved in. This isn't just an oversight, it's an appalling failure to provide a fair and equal contest. There were 7 other games he could've been involved in this week, whoever the hell decides on where the umpires are assigned has brought the game into disrupte.

I demand a 6-12 month investigation, loads of media speculation and a slap on the wrist!!

Apart from what has been mentioned, it really annoyed me that the AFL.com.au headline for our win was "Thrown to the Lions - Beleaguered Saint Ahmed Saad endures a hostile reception at the Gabba", with "Saint's Ordeal" as the tab. Really?

Exactly my reaction when I saw Saad's picture on the "5 talking points" article.

Nice vent:thumbsu:

I would like to add my own demands to that list.

Firstly, I want the AFL to supply me with a life-size Leigh Fisher photo and a week's supply of rotten fruit and secondly I demand that Browny's mum be appointed as the controlling umpire for our remaining matches this season.

Milne got the boos. I'm not sure the crowd knew who Saad was at first.

A comment was made on AFL Gameday that if Rockliff was based in Melbourne, he would be spoken about very differently.

In this day and age, I am staggered beyond belief that Victorian based media continue to roll out this bullshit line regarding players at non-Victorian clubs. They have just as much access to and ability to watch said players playing at 'non-Victorian' clubs, so why do they have to live and play in Melbourne for them to be spoken of if warranted?

Most footy followers I know here in Melbourne that follow a Melbourne based side are just as likely and if not more likely to watch a game involving non-Victorian sides than say a Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon or even Melbourne, who if they do not follow that particular side, can't stand them.

Personally, I reckon a lot of the media are just plain incompetent and to be frank, watch less footy than most footy pundits, b/c some of the ignorant comments I hear them make about players at non-Victorian clubs is evidence enough that they don't watch many games.

Apologies for the rant, but it just shits me to tears every time I hear that line about players at non-Victorian or as they would refer 'interstate' clubs implying that it is still the VFL.

Exactly, most of the crowd wouldn't have known. However to report on the reason Milne received the hate would be unsavoury for afl.com and drug stories are so much more topical. Media:rolleyes:

love the commentary team wondering why the crowd was booing Milne...
seriously?
Milne gets booed wherever he plays....definitely not Gabba specific.

He could be playing kick to kick in his mum's backyard and someone would boo.
