Having surveyed the ladder, I'm really pissed off that Richmond has now supplanted Collingwood in 5th place.

Which means that:

After we account for Geelong

and Richmond hold on to 5th next week (you can work that one out for yourself)

and Port beat Carlton

and the Bombers get turfed out of the 8,

then

we only get to beat Richmond in the first week of the Finals instead of getting the ultimate satisfaction of flogging the Pies.

Not happy.

If we do make the finals and beat Richmond, it would be the ultimate troll from the AFL.

The one season Ninth is good enough to make finals...

Happy to be corrected by reflective coaches comments or points given for this game come B&F night. I’m not meaning to sound harsh Tom, it’s just that when a player is rated highly like I and many others rate Joel, then these uncharacteristically ‘poor’ games can tend to standout.

Damn it I'm just so mad I could spit. We look like idiots. We've been played for fools by a liar and the court jester.

I cant figure out who to be madder at - the asshat that strung us along like lambs to the slaughter or the scatter brained, naive numbskull that calls Roos a personal friend. Some friend. With friends like him Angus I'd hate to see your enemies. Oh wait... I can see them too!!!!

Roos has loved every minute of the media speculation and seeing his name over and over again. His ego gets the better of him constantly and no matter the topic somehow its always about him. We'll now Paul old buddy old pal, you have the blood of an up and coming coach and the dismemberment of a football club on your hands. I hope some where deep down in that self obsessed soul of yours have just the slightest tinge of remorse or regret.

Somehow I doubt it but.

And as to the one with the ring through his nose that got lead along like a donkey with a carrot... I stand in awe of how you have ever succeeded in business Angus. No one puts blind faith in someone that presents one image on a phone call and then lies over and over and over again in the media. Hell he even got his manger to lie too. How the hell you could go to the rest of the board and offer up a story that obviously suggests a done deal when you couldn't be further away from it? How you could convince them Roos was so close that all you had to do was axe Voss without a signed sealed and guaranteed contract smacks of ineptitude and gullibility unseen before.

And as for all the board members that fell for that story you too need to take a good hard look at yourselves. How could you hear a story in the boardroom and then ignore the constant media denials without doubt? Did any of you double check? Did any of you seek second opinions? Did any of you seek guarantees? Did you have a plan B?

This club isnt a personal play thing for the likes of Roos to manipulate or the board to destroy with ineptitude. Voluntary or not, your positions demand diligence. They demand caution, safeguards, consideration. Its not some whimsical thing for you to experiment with or not pay attention too.

Do your damn job. And if that means swallowing your pride and calling Roos a liar then do it! And if it means falling on your sword do that too!

And heaven forbid when we run out of options, if it means getting on bended knee and grovelling for Voss to come back you better damn well do that too!!!!!

Then the sadness of players leaving by means of retirements, delistings or requesting a move...just pray we do the delistings after all those requesting to leave.....just the thought of Angry Angus getting involved at the trade table...

We were SO. ****ING. CLOSE. SO close to being back to the top. One more preseason. We were gonna be up there with the Ports and the Richmonds and the Collingwoods, and maybe up with the Sydneys, the Freos and the Hawthorns.

We were going to have a new facility. Our favourite son was leading us up and up and up. And in the blink of an eye BOOM, we have no coach and the Club is at war within itself.
