Since when is Jonathan Brown typical? ;)

That was a description of Gen Y, and not Browny :p . So you're just reinforcing my point that he doesn't deserve to be painted with the Gen Y brush AND that you can't argue with the big G! :D

The consistent hammering of generation Y recently frustrates me to no end. 18-21 year old players are thrown into the gen Y category as though this is a separate category to more seasoned and hardened players.

Generation Y is commonly known as the label of the generation of children born between the early 80s and around 2000 ish.

The early 80s.

Early 80s.

Jonathan Brown - b. 1981 - Generation Y
Daniel Merrett - b. 1984 - Generation Y
Brent Moloney - b. 1984 - Generation Y
Haso - b. 1984 - Generation Y

Wih that kind of timeframe - THE VAST MAJORITY OF ALL SENIOR FOOTBALL PLAYERS IN THE LEAGUE ARE GENERATION Y.

Why not just complain about 'kinds these days'? It would be more accurate.

This knd of over-generalisation is typical of gen-X-ers and Baby Boomers anyway...

Typical ranting of a Gen Y'er. Absolutely incapable of handling any criticism whatsoever. ;)

[/incisive Gen X wit]

Now it all makes sense, why you've been asking to be traded back home to the punt road forum to be closer to granma..
Giving you the Modship hasn't worked, no doubt you'll take the cash and end up on the GWS forum.

How good are we going??

1. No coach..
2. An incompetant board..
3. No money..
4. Numerous players apparently wanting to leave.

Well done Angus and co.

Ironic given our major sponsor is all about performance measured

ungrateful prick polec leaving, ridiculous

And a return to adelaide is not enough; he wants us to deal exclusively with Port. There was enough anecdotal evidence (through his brother and friends) to suggest character issues from the start, not to mention the arrogant comments made to the media boasting how his teachers had photographs of him in their offices, and describing his defensive abilities as one in a million, or something to that effect. With an inflated contract and a bidding war, I can't see the penny dropping at all.

Seeing as no one wants to go to Brisbane, why don't we reverse the merge and go back to being Fitzroy. Move everyone down here. Problem solved.

Then in ten years time when we are broke the Afl will get us the best coach available and pump in mega dollars to right the ship. Works for me. Not as far for me to go to home games either.

Pick 5. The club needs to make a stand here. We put him on the open table... Best deal or he goes to the draft. He can get stuffed... I am smouldering ....

Yep, stuff him; why should we accommodate the self-entitled prick his wish of getting back to SA; I reckon he would do quite well at GWS, Melbourne or down Seaford at St Kilda.

Its not like we're going to get much for him anyway, so why not send a message loud and clear to any other self-entitled kid coming to Brisbane, like Nathan Buckley all those years ago, that we are NOT simply a stepping stone club or a club you can do an apprenticeship and then piss off back home.

I hope Barrett is wrong, but if Staker was to leave, I'll just about lose it.

No idea whether it is Staker instigating a move or his manager playing funny buggers; but after sticking by him for two years whilst his knees were rooted, if he were to leave, I'd be more than filthy.

Twitter account has him in Melbourne since Tuesday...may have been at another club other than Carlton...not unusual to explore options while contract talks are happening...

The Blues are in the market for a tall forward but Carlton dismissed reports they were targeting Staker.
The club said he was just visiting Carlton director of coaching Rob Wiley, who worked with Staker at West Coast.
Losing Staker would be catastrophic for Brisbane given his utility value and experience from 154 senior matches.
