Yep the small brigade works well against Geelong..they have trouble getting the right match ups..Ash is perfect in that role...Carlton have troubled them....I want to know how Paine performs in the Magoos..IMO we need a player that can smash packs in the forward line..hard for opposition to double team your forwards when you have a numbing corky... :footy:

If Paparone isn't dominating the hardest position on the ground at age 19 and with 6 games under his belt, I doubt he ever will...

Delist along with Merrett, Leuenberger and Redden who I have also learned in the last week are no good.

My point is that Paparone's role today wasn't 'solely' to kick goals. If he had kicked one or two, then he would have played better, but just because he didn't kick a goal today doesn't mean he didn't play his role. Check out the review thread and you'll see a couple of posters who outline his role and how he went about playing it.

Although with your quick defensiveness and petulance you are definitely fitting the theme of this thread better than I am. My bad, I do apologise. I do hate to get in the middle of a good vent.

Paparone: 5 career goals .. as an aforementioned linkup man.

A bit of love for Close on here in his first couple of games, and that is completely valid. Having a vent about the lack of goals from a guy who is considered a linkup guy ... well that makes me want to vent.
