If you're sitting in the Northern GA section you can always come and sit with me :P

I still need to get tickets... normally I get them at the gates, but it looks lije the fad of going to AO could make games sell out for the first few months. I better get a move on

When my step-mum went to get tickets, they said they had seats booked to round 11!

Adelaide oval has really kick started footy again down here. I am thinking of getting a Port Season pass... that alone belongs in the Vent thread

As disappointed as I've ever been with a game of footy. I'm going to find it very hard to justify the hour train ride and exorbitant ticket pricing again, not until we're going to deliver something worth watching.

Pretty shortly the Gold Coast are going to draw larger crowds than us at home.

They need a crowd of 7,000 to profit on gameday?

We need close to 20,000.

We are so ****ed it is scary.

16,600 yesterday was still a terrible crowd on a day with perfect weather - I think it shows how reliant QLD footy still is on VIC expats/teams, and how shit a stadium Metricon is to get to (can't believe there is no parking near it apparently - when I come to Brisbane I drive to the Gabba and can pay to park nearby even if it is not exactly as easy as it could be).

If those break-even numbers are right they are scary though - how the hell could such a discrepancy come about (AFL / QLD Government - it is still the same people dealing with each other even if you throw in the Circket club and different [?] government owned stadium managers)?

Although I hate to imagine the kind of crowds we will get if we keep going on our current trajectory (or what our membership will look next year).

It is looking like our crowd numbers will be sub-16k this year v non victorian clubs or the less supported vic clubs.

Looks like we will have to field half a team against the Dee's to collect the wood for pick 1.
Problem is I think only half a team will beat the Dee's as well.
Working out how to field only 4 players so they have a chance.

Hope it doesn't play out like I suspect it might - Dees pick 1, Frawley leaves, Dees pick 2.

Very true.Hope he has a chat to Leppa this week.
Reckon he would be wondering what the hell he has taken on at the moment.
At least we know Leppa cares ...unlike Roos who only came back for the money.
