Almost as good as Oasis. I rate Ashcroft a hell of a lot. What do you tossers make of this band. And ****ing hell, i want no mention of Muse in this thread, only good bands in this one. Urban Hymns and A Storm In Heaven are two bloody brilliant albums.

Top band.

Songs like She's a superstar and All In The Mind prove Nick McCabe as the most Innovative English Guitarist of the last 15 years.

The sound this guy can get out of a guitar is unbelieveable. Truly amazing.

McCabes work isnt as prominent on Urban Hymns due to his absence from the band at that time before he was redrafted back in to form a 5 piece with Simon Tong, who has worked with Damon Albarn with Gorillaz and The Good, the bad and the queen.

I rate this band extremely highly.

Personally, i think Nick McCabe is the most innovative and talented guitarist out of England in the last 15 years.

I will say it again, anyone who thinks the Verve is a one song band has near zero musical credability whether they will accept it or not.

Richard Ashcroft will always be remembered as being the the bellend who left a highly promising band after one break through album thinking the world loved him only for him to fall flat on his face as a solo artist.

Not true. Three absolutely great albums. A Northern Soul is a classic. I don't even rate Bittersweet Symphany compared to History or Catching The Butterfly. There albums greater than anything radiohead or muse have done.

All 3 of their albums have been utterly awesome and I hope the next one will be just as good. It's great to have them back.

It's about bloody time somebody started making some sense. It may interest some of you to know that Noel wrote Cast No Shadow for Richard Ashcroft. Just listen to History and it will all make sense.

The Verve are good for what they are and thats a pretty standard Britpop Band... nothing ground breaking but not to bland either...but to dis a bands such as muse and radiohead who have definitive sounds and theams in there music as crap is utterley confusing???

Every other thread gets highjacked by people swearing or defending Muse. Why dont you just say how much you love them or hate them here and lets not not change the subject to muse on another thread. Ill start personally i love muse and i reckon that bands like Oasis dont even compare.
