Elliott is alright, but unfortunately Couch isn’t tall enough to be bowling 130 kph
Strange comment. Couch's average speed is mid-high 130's from what I've heard.

All I know is Elliott looked faster, and Sutherland faster again
It's always tough to gauge on TV. But let's give it time, he's only 19 and needs time to fill out.

No real surprises there. O'Neill has taken 52 wickets at 18 the past 2 years for Melbourne, and he's only 20/21. Was captain of Calder in 2019.

what?? The bloke has smashed the door down in recent seasons and performed well when they finally picked him.

how bout the kids earn their spots through performances in Premier cricket
We are giving kids games for anything, I like him but giving him a contract surely there is a young batter around

No, there isn't. He's a leading performer at premier cricket (last 3 years top 6 run scorers) and made runs on debut. Literally ticks all the boxes.
Rowe was given a contract far too early, purely on potential and it hasn't worked out. Is young enough to get another one if he shows some form.

He'll still get games in the second XI in all likelihood if they bring it back.
