This country has entered a level of disgusting beyond repair. Australia didn’t sign up for this s**t.

AGL needs to pay back all the money they stole. The banks need to pay back the money they stole. The politicians need to fu ck off. And those paedophile priests need to stop touching our children.

It all goes to show that power corrupts & absolute power corrupts absolutely. It should wake people to the danger of reducing media ownership & reducing the reach & strength of the ABC.

Look at the exposures the ABC has made over the years, starting with that corrupt Qld slug JoeBP.

China's major commitment under the Paris climate change agreement will be met a decade ahead of schedule, leading to calls for Beijing to take even stronger action to lower global emissions.

As delegates arrive in Bonn for the annual United Nations environment conference, beginning on Wednesday, China and increasingly India are emerging as global leaders for the first time.

Under its Paris commitments, first outlined in late 2014, Beijing said its CO2 emissions would peak "before 2030" in what was viewed as a highly ambitious target at the time.

But after a decade of rapid growth, China's CO2 emissions fell for the first time in 2015, were flat in 2016, and are forecast to grow slightly this year before declining again in 2018.

"It now seems peak coal use [across China] in volume came in 2013," he said in an email.

"It is possible that we have already seen peak carbon emissions from fossil fuels [in China]."
Of course, China never lies....

Here's another one who doesn't realise the debate is over

All we are doing now is discussing the timeline for the implementation of the solutions
Actually not debating the issue that we need to do something just saying that China is lying about its progress.

We should do more to cut.emissions but in order to protect our industries and to ensure that our work isnt undone by other nations growth in emissions, all nations should be indepently checked (funded by savings in the bloated UN bureacracy) and we should put tarrifs on goods from any.nation not matching our reductions like China who cries poor but is building military bases on islands that belong to.their smaller neighbours.

Their is that. But anyone who has a clue about China knows how bad the pollution has been. The Government has been forced to reduce emissions of all sorts of pollutants because its been killing people & choking everyone else. It was causing social unrest. Something the one party state hates.

The massive rebuild of factories & huge industrial areas has helped reduce pollution & increase efficiency with those new factories as well. A double win, but they have a lot more to do.

Pollution & corruption are the two biggest worries for the 'dictatorship' of the one party leadership.

Fair enough too. His own party forced him into those targets. Abbott believes that man made climate change is minimal at best and greater misery will be inflicted on Australians by taking action to reduce carbon emissions.

Of course he is going to say that as they are buying hundreds of millions of dollars worth of steel from his company to build the renewables, then when it fails the it will be back to coal!
Like in Europe
Like in Asia

He's building the renewables himself, with his own money. Did you read the article? Suspect not. I guess it's difficult to read something a bit trickier than the Herald Sun, especially if paragraphs have more than one sentence and words have more than one syllable.

Yeah, I'm not going to credit any "source" that alleges renewables are designed to drive up electricity prices.

It's malicious crap, Fat Yak, and I think you know it too.

Hasn’t anyone figured out how exactly AGL has just tripled its profit.

Malcolm Turnbull should come clean and explain to his party and the public that his son, Alex is heavily invested in wind power outfit, Infigen and did so at a time when it was on the brink of bankruptcy.

In one of the luckiest bets of all time (see our post here), Alex Turnbull managed to buy in when Infigen shares were a measly $0.20, just before his Dad signed Australia up to the Paris Climate Change agreement, after which they rocketed to $1.20. https://stopthesethings.com/tag/alex-turnbull-infigen/

Except it was in the news that we were going to sign it and we signed it on the day it was open to sign. He did some smart investing..

Far out some people are conspiracy whack jobs.

Also why anyone would listen to a deeply conservative cartoonist as a bastion of knowledge is ridiculous. There is almost no facts in the article and it's all opinion. Once again Fat Yak trying to substitute opinion pieces for real news.. classic RSS feed.

When Howard got full authority he lost his seat
No one will be in power again for 10 years unless they become some sort of dictator. Both parties now don’t care about their constituents and only serve their higher masters. The IMF is in charge now. Turdbull is on their payroll. Labor will be to.
