Perhaps our unexpected form this year has the club rethinking whether it's in our best interests to target a big fish. Especially considering the now apparently succesful "do nothing" approach we took into last year's trade period.
To be honest l would rather that happened, Because of the form we have, it’s better for the drafted kids with developed. Will will draft a chb(Kelly) send Mclarty back to fb and it could release Moore to chf.

Agreed - its interesting how the best performing clubs (eg Hawthorn a few years ago) got by on minimal changes to the list. I don't mind tweaking or topping up (eg Andy Krakouer in 2011) from a position of strength but mass overhauls don't seem to work.

Eg Geelong, Carlton and us up until this year.

I’d love to have Lynch, he’s an absolute gun and it would be nice to have another good KKP in the team. But I’m not fussed about missing out on him either, we’ve clearly got space in the cap if we’re indeed after him and for the money he would be on it’s almost not worth it.

I’d rather we keep our picks and go to the draft, we seem to be doing pretty well with our selections so let’s keep it that way. We’ve got a great balance in our forward structures atm with Mason Cox being the main target with Mihocek doing pretty well also. Draft the best young KKP available with our pick and hopefully Moore stays fit next season and our stocks aren’t looking too bad.

I was told today that Lynch will be at Richmond and his been committed to joining for 12 months.

I really don't want to believe it but this is from a Pies supporter who has alot of contacts.

I'm spewing.
Well their 20-40 players on their list have to accept peanuts then.

Makes sense. He would have made the decision last year and looking where we were at vs Tigers it was a no brainer.

Same as how Treloar would had settled on Collingwood a year before coming across. Despite Tiger supporters protests - they were never in the race.

Bucks was pretty coy on the methods used but from the sounds of it we spoke to him a while ago, Richmond has only spoke to him this week so he’s clearly still weighing up his options but they clearly have more money in their cap than us.

Said it before, it ain’t about the money for Lynch. He’ll get at least $1M a season no matter where he plays.
