Essendon coaches using anti-ageing/anti-obesity drugs? I thought it was pretty obvious what connection I was making...

Personally I thought, in context, jazzee's connection was the more obvious.
That doesn't even make sense? Sttew's post specifically described his weight loss and that he was "looking fit". I'm not sure what rock you've been living under if you haven't been following the ASADA/ACC/WADA debacle and implication of Essendon coaching staff with injectable compounds but jazzee's reply seemed more obtuse than anything.

... ha I don't think I was obtuse. I missed the 'anti-obesity' drug claims. If I had have known, the original call was genuinely amusing. To be honest the Bomber's woes has just been noise for me the past month or two after the original shock.
I apologise for saying you were obtuse, sometimes Fred needs to be prodded away from the computer and back into bed with strong words otherwise he posts his amnesiac stylings all over the place.

I should have known better than to think a misanthropic egotist would understand, let alone appreciate, having his 2 out of 10 joke topped by someone else's (apparently unintentional) 3 out of 10 joke, but I'm sure the penny will drop eventually if you think about it long enough.
Keep your eyes on the game Fred, don't post angry, it makes you look like AM in proxy when you start accusing others of egotism.

Apparently not all of the things that were used have been revealed to the media yet. Also wasn't there talk of the coaches using ephedrine in the box on game day for improved alertness? Very illegal if true.

How does Dank "prescribe" ephedrine and propanolol? Both are prescription items.
I am ignorant of his capacities, but does he own/manage a pharmaceutical warehouse? Is he a pharmacist? Is he a medical practitioner? If NO to all those 3, it 's got me how he could have dispensed those.
And propanolol is used to decrease rapid pulse that occurs with public speaking/ anxiety, and heart conditions with pulse rate issues, while ephedrine is basically to stimulate the fight/flight response, ie the opposite effect. They would not be given together.
Anyway, let's watch this develop.
That's the whole point of this mess with Dank now - his alleged university degree is not recognised as being completed by UNSW when they checked (it wasn't an MBBS anyway) so it would seem this guy isn't formally qualified in anything at all. There's no legitimate reason why he would have access to ephedrine or propranolol for the purposes of dispensation and yet here he is allegedly supplying it to one of the premier sporting organisations in the country. But this is the same guy who had been alleged to have given freaking WARFARIN to that rugby league side so anything is possible here. At any rate if it has happened as alleged then you can be certain Thompson is up to his eyeballs in it the same as Hird.
