Seems to be the slogan the club is running with this year.
I like it. For a while our club has sat back and been too timid for my liking. Time to ruffle some feathers.
But if they are doing this kind of branding off the field, we better hope we can back it up on the field... Being that it is pretty much a direct challenge to the purple mob down the road. At least it might spice up the derbies a little, they have been bland for a while now.

I don't have an opinion on the message itself - but it would suggest to me we're finally done with feeling the need to apologise for the Gear Years of late 2000s (stuff like "A new breed" was basically "we're really sorry guys" in marketing speak).

Freo have been terrible for most of their existence, they're still the little brother.

I take it more as a threat to clubs coming to play us than a dig at a freo. Like a return of the house of pain, when no one could beat us at Subi for a while there. They were the good old days!

If not the 100% official slogan for the year, it still looks like they are using it quite a bit.

You're probably referring to the GF but I reckon we can sneak into 7th or 8th and play a Vic team there in the first week if we're lucky.

Yeah I agree, reeks of the Freo of yesteryear... too busy focussing on the local rival. They have eclipsed us as a footy club, and they have a better club board to boot. We're stuck with the same recruiters, the same boys club etc. The only thing stopping them from overtaking us supporter-wise is that they haven't won anything significant... yet.

Wish I could share your optimism. The truth is though they beat us both times this year playing average footy in both games... a ten minute burst of good footy in each derby this year was enough to sink us both times.

I like it because the west IS ours. All those fair weather freo supporters will leave like rats from a sinking ship when we finish above them on the ladder again. Either this year or the next, but hoping this is the year

Pretty sure they had a few ridiculous slogans, which turned out to be nothing short of an embarrassment for them.

"They know we're coming"

"You know what we're cooking" or something.
