Perhaps this coaching conundrum presents a unique opportunity to raise funds for the club, introducing:

The Western Bulldogs Coach-For-A-Day Programme

If you've ever fancied yourself as an AFL coach, or just wanted to get up close and personal with Australia's greatest game then this new programme (available only to our members) is perfect for you.

For a modest sum of only $10,000* ** you get to be the head coach on gameday.

You'll give the inspirational pre-game speech, you'll move the magnets around on the board, you'll be the one shouting orders into the headsets and you'll drag the players when they make mistakes.

But that's not all, you'll also get to take the field qtr and 3qtr time AND handle all the questions at the post game press conference.

Every coach for a day gets a special Bulldogs Coaching pack which includes:

A special souvenir polo shirt
Bulldogs game day cap
Lanyard
Full support of the board

Apply now at westernbulldogs.com.au

*Finals $20,000
**Out of state matches have a supplementary covering travel and accommodation.
I would be seriously all over that.

What's that movie with the 12 monkeys
You have to find the source of the disease the first mad monkey to build an antidote or the madness will spread like an Ebola virus

It is plain we must place mattdougie under hypnosis - there in the darkness is iago - the hellish fiend - and the kraken must be tamed lobotomized

Then and only then is it possible to restore us to health
Haha seriously this is pure gold!

Geez, the hostility coming from some posters is a little over the top. Can't find the posts now, so I guess they've been removed.

If Boyd turns out to be half the player that Nick Reiwoldt is, then I reckon you can consider him a good pick up. If you think the fact that he's cried means his character is questionable, that's a bit of a worry.

Your ex captain could learn a few things about character from Riewoldt. They were both given the chance to walk out on their club, and look what happened.

Got it in one...ex-captain.

Griffen is no longer our problem. He showed his true colours and walked out when the going got a little bit tough.

Just hope our new captain doesn't learn Riewoldt's trademark swan dive.

By the way, why do supporters from opposition clubs expect us to roll out the welcome mat and kiss their feet when they wander across to our board?

He was THE CAPTAIN OF YOUR CLUB mate. He was the guy who your organization chose to lead the football team. And he walked.

I don't need a welcome mat. Just some friendly banter, as id be happy to afford to you if you came to the saints board. If your not able to do that, it aint my problem.

Ayres likes making individuals plural, but how does he pluralise himself?

Looking forward to Ayres being appointed and referring to "you've got your modern media sites - your BigFootys, your WOOFS, and posters like your Iagos".
I think he learnt that from the Allen Jeans of the worlds

Much the same as this year, id say. Though I could do without another spoon. Losing Lenny is going to hurt.

What do you think of the Dogs chances? I actually reckon you've got the most exciting young list outside of the gold coast and giants. With Boyd in, it should be exciting times.

Hard to say a whole lot either way at this point. He took us to a wooden spoon in year 1, but its hard to say what another coach would have done. He seems very honest and I like listening to him talk footy. He's got great raps as a developer of young talent, so id hope to see a lot of guys improving in year 2. I reckon we'll know a lot more this time next year about Richo.

How close were you to getting choco
The media were reporting it a done deal at one point
Do you know the reasoning
Or what r your thoughts?

Yeah it was pretty close. I thought it was over the line at one point. I dont know what happened, other than they saw Richo as the better fit. I think Richo initially ruled himself out so as not to be seen to apply and fail for another senior job. Gotta say im pleased we didn't get choco. He's too erratic for my liking as a senior coach.

Not so much next year though. I'd expect us to be bottom 4, with Brisbane and the Giants going past us.
