What if we took Bernie Quinlan and didn't chicken out.
What if we took Locket and didn't chicken out.
What if Carmen played in the 1977 GF
What if we took Naughton instead of Stepho
What if we didn't have some ****ing witch doctor holding a curse over us since the 1960"s

The only silver lining you can take from it. We have been competitive in losses against some top teams. Encouraging for next year at least
Was it due to us being up to scratch against those top sides or because of the ultra defensive game style we implemented?

Not being a smart alec, genuine question.

I’d have Essendon and GWS as games that got away instead of WB and Geelong. A middle side would win 2-3 of the games we dropped, a top side 4-5.

I don’t think it would change internal views of where the list is at, but it may shape recruitment. Externally perhaps the pressure wouldn’t have been as great. The query for mine is whether an extra couple of wins would have saved Buckley.
This is a very good question.

The Umpire signals the correct decision for Roccas goal in the 2002 GF. How many points do we win the grand final by?
Forget that goal. Bloody pay Tarrant his ****ing free kick and Lynch never gets his soft ****ing free kick against Wakelin. This is why I blame you Football God

We’d have belted Port by 21 goals in the GF.
Still needed to beat the Cats.

IIRC we kicked the last two goals of the game once Bucks went down.

They should’ve been called for holding the ball on the final siren too, when three of them locked the ball in to one another.

Which lends the question: do we land the goal after the siren from fifty to win that? IIRC it was O’Bree and Goldsack closest to the ball when the siren went.

Fair question!!! I honestly couldn't answer. Maybe it was the ultra defensive side of our game that kept us in those.

None of them were particularly high scoring games , so i think you are bang on with the defensive side

What if Sumich had nailed the shot in 1990 so we lost the qualifying final instead of drawing it which in turn served to give Essendon another week off?

Add that to the Milne bounce and we could be in drought year 63.

This is correct. We've had 2 pieces of good luck in 60 years, and about 10 shockers.
