These are a few shots I took earlier whilst playing. This game has lived up to the hype and more so far (I'm up to chapter 2). The level of writing, the sophistication of the story, the art, the atmosphere... it goes on. The towns in this game are Shenmue like in the way they are brimming with life, something I've been waiting to see in a game since Shenmue 2. I could go on all night, and I probably well as I keep playing it lol

**** I love this game

I never play these types of games but I really want to play this so I just ordered it through eBay. Got the premium edition for $50 all up so it's a pretty good deal.

Looking forward to finally giving my Alienware Laptop a thrashing! :D

playing this on my 32' 1080p TV

It is glorious:heart: I just want to walk around the town and soak up the atmosphere. These devs are super talented

Giantbomb have their quick look up. Although I'm not sure I'd consider 90mins to be overly quick lol

They seem very impressed.
Generally only the games they are very impressed with get the longest times, that or games that can't really be spoiled.

I've watched about 1/3rd so far and it's looking good, I like that it's not as deep of an RPG as say Oblivion or Fallout and looks more streamlined action wise. Also good that it's not all repetitive objectives and quests, although the QTE stuff seems a little redundant and easy.

Whenever I upgrade my computer to a good one, I'll be grabbing it...or whenever it goes on sale in a Steam sale.;)

Oh yeah, the game is balls to the wall hard for the first few hours, even on normal. It rarely feels cheap though, which is the important thing. If I die it's because I've ****ed up with my timing.

Sounds like it's coming to console...

In speaking to Eurogamer, Senior Producer Tomasz Gop told the site that something Witcher-related is on the horizon for E3. Okay, so far so good. So, what delectable little hints can you drop for us, Tomasz?

"I can't say anything obviously for gazillions of reasons but it is a Witcher game, and I can say that console gamers might be interested in it."

Or perhaps it's an announcement of a third Witcher game, which could also be coming to cons--

"No, I'm not going to lie to you, we haven't started work on The Witcher 3," he said. "But it's possible we might do it in the future."
So not a sequel and something that console gamers will be interested in? Witcher 2 coming to consoles.:)

Some people are speculating its a Witcher: Rise of the white wolf build in the witcher 2's "Red" engine.

It would make sense to give console gamers a refined version of the original first and perhaps save Witcher 2 as launch title for the next generation if it can't be done justice. But that's just speculation...

Will the first Witcher be good on console gameplay and graphic wise? (If it is released first on consoles)
I'm liking the look of The Witcher 2 but I am not much of a computer gamer

You can get both Witchers for $55 from GOG.com (Signup and then change your accout location to USA and the price for Witcher 2 goes to $50 and they are selling the first for $5)

May as well get both. First one was great and the second one so far is, although hard to start, just as good.

cd projekt are so hardcore i wouldn't be surprised if zangief was their ceo

in all seriousness this is good news; i got a fairly significant performance increase on my laptop. also very progressive in comparison with what capcom are doing with street fighter arcade edition on pc. that god damned m bison.

360 release in november! Get excited console peeps:)

I know, november is a horrible time to release a game, especially an RPG with Skyrim around, however, both are very different styles of RPG with the Witcher being closer to a Bioware RPG in structure to the open sandbox goodness of the Elder Scrolls.

It's also selling very well, so Witcher sequels are pretty much guaranteed.

And if your wondering why no PS3, its because last time CDPR wanted the Witcher 1 on consoles they outsourced their work to another mob who put together a port of such poor quality, that CDPR scrapped it instead of shitting on their reputation with a first up console bomb. So this time, they are only willing to do it themselves, they aren't a super-massive developer and will only commit to one game at a time, and the 360 is simply much easier to port to than the PS3 for PC games. Any exclusivity deal with MS is unlikely here, so I wouldn't rule the PS3 out exactly.

I'd definitely expect PS3 to come eventually.

Probably a matter of seeing how well it sells (it's gonna have to do A LOT).

Interesting design philosophy that they have going, doing it one step at a time.

Absolutely superb game. Nearly killed my PC playing it though but it Was worth the experience.

CDPROJEKT hit the mark again, and keeps setting the standards for the modern day WRPG.
