Remember this classic show? I have not seen it for ages. I used to watch it every arvo when I was in primary school and loved it.

I looked on an Internet TV guide to see that its showing again, but in Sydney (at 5pm Sunday arvos while we get the footy reply). I love my footy but miss the Wonder Years! I'd love to see it again and reminise. Any Sydneysiders here that catch it? You are so lucky!

yes, its on Channel 7 5pm Sundays in Sydney

Just a 'filler' because we wouldn't want residents of the biggest city in Australia to watch the biggest sport in Australia now would we ?

Agree with thestretch60 - it has not aged well at all and appears stilted, laboured and dull nowadays.

cheers

It's on here on a cable station every afternoon. I've watched it a few times. I taped the last episode when it was shown in Melbourne. The part about Kevin's father dying and his mother taking over the family business really got to me. I grew up in the US at about the same time as the series depicts. I think I'm two years older than Kevin was in the series. I graduated from high school in 1970. Living in Melbourne and watching the series made me homesick at times. Today I watched "Picnic at Hanging Rock" on the IFC (International Film Channel) on cable and got homesick for Melbourne! I just can't win!

The Wonder Years... what a great show.
I had the hugest crush on Kevin when I was like 7, and I soooo wanted to be Winnie Cooper! A few years ago I heard a rumour that Marilyn Manson was actually the guy that played Paul! Wasn't true though....

I soooo wanted to be Kevin!!! Yeah I loved the Wonders Years, and I still catch the odd episode on Foxtel. :)

ah yes... great show...

winnie cooper... yummmm.. hahahaha..

anyone seen frank savage lately>??>
i think the last time i saw him on tv was on a seinfeld episode... where kramer runs off to LA after catching the acting bug...

'these pretzels are making me thirsty' !

It's also on at 4.30pm Saturdays in WA. How funny was Wayne when he got his driving licence a few weeks back - kept jerking the car forward a few meters, made Kevin look so stupid!

Love the show. I loved the episode when Kevin and Winnie broke up, she got on the bus and left him standing there, and they played the Beach Boys' 'God Only Knows' it was such a poignant moment.
And the one when they get rid of their family car.......I can relate, ours is 17 years old and we can't part with it yet.......so many second cars have gone but it goes on and on.......(oh sorry, back to my post :p lol)

Guy who played Kevin looked like my first boyfriend from when I was 12, that always freaked me out  lol

Good show, so many great moments.

My favourite episode was the one with that cute chick (I think she was called Madeline from memory', and she is in Kevins french class, and you see the scene where they are singing to eachother in French, and all Kevin knows how to say in French is 'Will you pass the butter?"
