this format is so much better than previous yearsI’m falling in love with cricket again.
You present a compelling argument. For me it's more the devil you know. India already won a recent WC, so them winning again would be tolerable. Whereas England have never won one and I'd love to see that continue, especially with them being the home team and clear favourites.
As for South Africa, I'm not even sure why they bother coming to World Cups.
Wrist spin and more attacking bowling/field settings seems to be in vogue atm.this format is so much better than previous years
It would be an improvement over what is the current rule where an umpire makes what might be a right or wrong call and it's up to the aggrieved team to challenge. After watching last night's game, I have come up with an idea regarding LBW. If you are hit on the pads you are automatically given out and then it's up to you to challenge it if you think it's missing the stumps.
Lost the toss and bowling against India.
Chasing a decent score against their 2 spinners will a challenge.
Desperately need a wicket
Or at least stop bowling rubbish ...Desperately need a wicket
NCN has been garbage so farOr at least stop bowling rubbish ...
Yep. If Starc and Cummins don't get early wickets our bowlers are gettable. I don't rate Coulter-Niles bowling, Stoinis is a part timer and Zampa has bowled too many half trackers in the 1st couple of games. Jhye Richardson dislocating his shoulder has hurt us, he is a gun.Or at least stop bowling rubbish ...
Jhye Richardson is a massive loss. Hope he is fit for the Ashes.Or at least stop bowling rubbish ...
James Pattinson too.Jhye Richardson is a massive loss. Hope he is fit for the Ashes.
Agree. When he went down a few weeks ago, I had that sinking feeling that we might struggle in the WC.Jhye Richardson is a massive loss. Hope he is fit for the Ashes.
Will be interesting to see what they do... Unfortunately our batting looks a touch weak without NCN. I'm very surprised Turner isn't in the squad.Agree. When he went down a few weeks ago, I had that sinking feeling that we might struggle in the WC.
Based on a small sample, the squad does look one quality quick bowler down. I think I would have gambled on Hazlewood.
He must play in the first test, fight fire with fire.James Pattinson too.
Yeah, think Behrendorff is with a shot. Only problem is he's a lefty and a new ball bowler. Do you open with him and Starc, or are they too similar? Will be interesting to see what they do... Unfortunately our batting looks a touch weak without NCN. I'm very surprised Turner isn't in the squad.
Maybe Behrendorf can step up - he would have been a handful on the last pitch we played on.
I'd open with him and Starc and have Cummins come on first change. Cummins is a superstar but doesn't swing it much.Yeah, think Behrendorff is with a shot. Only problem is he's a lefty and a new ball bowler. Do you open with him and Starc, or are they too similar?
Yeah. Starc only bowls 3 over spells anyway, so he'll still get use of the new ball.I'd open with him and Starc and have Cummins come on first change. Cummins is a superstar but doesn't swing it much.
These indian commentators are doing my head in... They are so annoying. India will score 350 and we will chase them down.Yeah. Starc only bowls 3 over spells anyway, so he'll still get use of the new ball.
Still prefer them to Michael Clarke. These indian commentators are doing my head in... They are so annoying. India will score 350 and we will chase them down.
******* Carey, that was village.
