Tbh i liked the USFL on-field product better than the XFL that closed down. The fandom and atmosphere of that XFL was by far better, but the USFL did things better....officiating, hard hits, general gameplay. Will still enjoy this third XFL btw

A town hall event was held in every city, over the last couple of days....

Something the previous and current XFL does so much better than the USFL....social media footprint, promotion. Cant remember the stat, but something like entire USFL season 1 tweets made by the USFL, its teams, was say 5,000. Whereas in the covid effected canceled season after only 5 weeks of the XFL they had pumped out more than say 15,000.

Already my twitter feed is like thousands of posts, whereas USFL about say 100 total.

There was a genuine sense of embracement by the public for the XFL last time too. Whereas empty crowds at Birmingham. Hopefully tho, with now four stadiums to service the 8 USFL teams we see more crowds.

Shame in a way, because the USFL on field product was by far better than the XFLs anyway. Better games, better play, purer spirit of the game rules and officiating.

Also, XFL has partnered with the NFL and Disney, so of course, the more compromised less integrity league gets all the funding.

Regardless, I'm a fan of both, but still reckon they should merge leagues to remain even stronger. An XFC conference with the 8 XFL teams, and a USFC conference with the 8 USFL teams. And eventually down the line, expansion to include an Oakland and San Diego team, etc.

Yeah what they had originally was better. They don't look shit by any means, just hate the helmet decal, but yeah original uniform was better.

I'm enjoying the Brahmas uniform and helmet decal tho.
