Billy Morrison, Brayden Shaw, Heath Shaw.

They are the only 3 players on the list who have not been given a run as yet.

Now let's think for a moment, ponder perhaps.... Surely Brayden could be given a game ahead of, say... Julian Rowe, who has not hit a target by foot for about six consecutive games, poos himself when approached by the opposition, and has had his confidence shot to bits.

Heath Shaw. Supposedly a hard-running half-back flanker with decent disposal. Someone who plays in that position and has done a crap-ass job of it lately is a bloke called Ryan Lonie. If I was a betting man (which I am) I would say this bloke will struggle to remain on our list next year and beyond. Give Rhyce Junior a run, put Lonie up forward for a week or two and see what he can do up there.

Billy, Billy, Billy. Hasn't taken the next step from TAC Cup to Williamstown Magoos. Can't see him getting a game in the Big League... ever. But why single him out. Why not play him ahead of Rusling if he is injured instead of f@cking Richy Cole???

So I put this to you, fellow Collingwood BF'ers. At least the Shaws should be given a run. Who do we tell to bugger off for a few weeks (or forever) to give them a spot on the whiteboard?

Thoughts...

Give them a run..

screw trying to win at all costs for the last few games... lets try out the new blood... its the only way we are going to improve

Am I the only one that doesnt think Rowe has the potential to become a great player? I only rate him as a decent player who could be replaced at any time ??

Dear oh dear

A Collingwood "supporter" who advocates players should go out onto the field with the express purpose of throwing a game.

The Shaws should get a run in the seniors soon. Billy is a long, long way off from getting a game.

Persist with Julian Rowe in the seniors, because he would improve as each game goes by.

Most people realise not all players develop at the same rate. Brayden was captain of Vic Metro and is a considered bu the club a long term prospect, his body was holding him back but he is on the right track. Heath is also coming along nicely but Billy is another story, he's not even close. We have plenty of green players running around in the seniors, you can't throw them all in at once. If you do we get belted, their confidence gets crushed and that sets us and them back even further.

I reckon Rowe showed far more last year....
he's been a bit disappointing in his use of the ball, but' he's very raw in fairness to him.
He was a late draft pick and leapfrogged others.

Only seen Brayden once, that was Buck's game @ Box Hill, and i was impressed with his mobility and sure hands. Obviously been hampered by injuries. Hope they give him 2-3 matches as with Heath.

Heath is very similar to Swan. Neat user of the ball i've noticed.

Brayden will play soon, no doubt

Heath was a fair chance earlier on this year, but seems to have tapered off a fair bit

Billy wont play this year

Cole would be one, Leon another perhaps, to make way in the coming weeks

I am pleased that we only have 3 senior players not to have debuted yet and 2 rookies.
It is better than the 10 or so we had at the start of last year.
The thing holding B.Shaw back is the likes of B.Holland, S.O'Bree, S.Burns and P. Licuria play the same role as him.
H.Shaw cannot get into the backline but should be tried in the wing or up forward either.
W.Morrison is going nowhere fast and, although I wouldn't be suprised if he makes it eventually, we need the space on our list and we have enough young talls.

One of the Shaw's was named in the best for Willy vs Sandringham today (not sure if it was Braydos or Heater). Play them both next week, along with J Cloke. They can replace Rowe, Hall and Cole.

I think that hall will continue to get games until either rogan or richards get back. Id bring in the 3 you mentioned, at the expense of rowe cole and locks

Your a boy genius mate...

I said screw winning at all costs.... meaning don't play injured players who shouldnt be playing (risk to their own physical and future well being)..

Eg.. Tarrant surgery he needs
Dont rush fraser if hes not ready
dont try and get rocca back before the end of the season
let benny j rest and heal properly..
etc.,.

instead play the young guys....

There is no reason to put everything on the line to win any more games....

Instead they should be trying new game plans and new players..... They should still TRY to WIN..... but not at all costs

This is a long way from saying... lose the games deliberately..... I think you may have read my post wrong or you simply do not understand

Drizt, I agree to an extent.
The problem is with Tarrant, the likes of T.Cloke, Rusling, Hall etc. need guidance and direction in that forward line otherwise they gain little from playing. These players will learn a lot more playing with Tarrant in the side than without, and if Tarrants knee isn't that bad (bad enough to cause pain and mass discomfort but not bad to keep him out) why not play him? They need experience in the forward line, while Carrots may do that he is a small forward and Tarrant can help them learn how to work together in a forward line that both he and Rocca do so well, especially when blocking the leads.
